You forgot to mention Cate Dunlap is also able to hear the thoughts of the people around her, at least in a certain radius (in Gen V, it was shown once she stopped using the ability dampening pills). She was also able to induce an illusion-dream or drag 3-4 people into her own mind or a dream-like plane. Her powers, now free from the pills, have developed more. Who knows what she can do now, Mesmer and Cate weren't rlly your typical comic-book telepath that could do mind reading and mind control, they had a very limited power set but we found out Cate had more in her arsenal than just her "push".
I always wondered why they never thought of using Kate or Mindstorm on Homelander. His mind is already fragile and fractured. They keep focusing on defeating him physically instead of mentally
Kate is loyal to Homelander and Mindstorm was barely useful later in life due to his deteriorating mental health and they also would have to get close to Homelander which is also not easy considering even before season 4 and 3 they had no personal contact to Homelander to get close enough to use their Powers
@benelz8542 fair point. But Homelander was born/created around 1981. Kate was born long after. Vought had plenty of time to manipulate her to become a contingency. But I'm sure they avoid that route because it would make the plot less interesting. Or else Mindstorm would have defeated Soldierboy easily
Homelander has a strong mental block against them. Head popper tried, Newman, and it did nothing to him. Certain sups have a natural block, depending on how strong or fast they are.
@beentheredonethat5908 Victoria's abilities are more physical than mental since it's blood manipulation. But Queen Mav showed his brain is vulnerable with enough force.. so maybe a combined effort of Victoria and Marie could have popped his head
Cate is WILDLY powerful given that there does not seem to be a duration to her compulsion ability. It's a shame that they've reduced her to one of Homelander's lackeys. I feel like if she teamed up with Sage they would EASILY be able to take over the world.
I definitely agree, but I do think Cate will become more than Homelander’s lackey. She may even switch sides, idk, we have to see what happens in Gen V S2 first. This could all be apart of Sage’s ‘phase 2’ plan and if she’s really the smartest person on the planet then she knows how valuable it would be to have someone as powerful and (literally) influential like Cate on her side.
well, she does hate humans, and that's what makes her and sam turn to homelander's side, it's just that these characters are more fleshed out in their own shows because the writers want each show to stand on its own
"it's a shame that she prefers Pepsi. She should drink Coke instead" is basically what you're saying lol Sage does hate humans, just like her and Homelander
Mesmer's outcome doesn't make sense. He is the ultimate interrogator and would be priceless asset to law enforcement and government. How many times could Homelander or the Boys have used him in the last 4 seasons? Mesmer would've been paid very well for his services from either party.
he cast a spell? i didn't know magic was a thing in the boys... also "could have been a great asset, if he didnt have bi-polar"... no, he would have been a great asset if vought actually tried a tiny bit to care for their supes issues. bi-polar doesn't stop anyone from achieving, their care routine is what holds them back. im not saying its not hard. i have personal experience with this truth but its not impossible
@jasonrust8568 yea with the aide of synthetic kryptonite.... his magnetic field blocks most but magic is a little weirder because magnetism is magic basically...
You are joking right...The Boys does not have a single person who can go toe to toe with Homelander and Homelander is like a sissy kitty in front of Superman....Superman can be beaten by Magic but no psychic in DC universe had ever been able to hold him for a longer period. The only exception is Raven as she is the daughter of The Old God Trigon and she has both psychic as well as magical abilities. Poison Ivy was able to mind control Superman with her chemical drugs...do you even read comics ?????? You really think anyone from The Boys can beat Raven...Forget Superman. Dude not even Darkseid could bring Superman down on his knees and he has the most wide range psychic characters. you forgot that DC has the strongest characters. I would have understood if you brought someone from "The Invincible" universe as they also have insane powerful characters. In Marvel it would take Prof X, Jean, Franklin Richard all together to bind him with telekinesis...When you see Superman you just see his body muscles...not the brain capacity and the will power he posses... why am i even arguing !!! Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory said if Superman does not posses any inhuman abilities as we perceive then he has the most powerful telekinesis ability to make us believe that he is doing all that inhuman shit...and even Sheldon is not sure who can beat superman on psychic games. I did not think you guys would be that dumb....you are making hundreds of videos about superhero genre and still think Superman can be beaten by some by-standard universe people.. not at all expected from you.
@@Nunya_Business536 I dont think normal Jean can hold Superman for much longer but Pheonix Force Jean definitely can because of her celestial power. However as per Marvel Comics Franklin Richard is the most powerful mortal and like I said they cannot contain him for a longer period single handedly. No disrespect but everyone forgets DC heros are way more powerful than Marvel as per Stan & Kirby and Superman is the one I dont even like Superman but i will defend him as per the comics... DC has plathera of Greek Gods and not even they can do it.... and there are 2 more versions of Superman that not even Superman can beat Superboy Prime Superman Prime One Million

Sister Sage is crazy! But for sure an interesting character

Yeah Mesmer could've been useful...if he didn't rat out the boys to Homelander who Butch specifically said not to or else he'll kill him
