    Hello Klaus. I have been having an issue with my roof. When I open it, it goes all the way down, but the decklid keeps modulating up and down without engaging the beep indicating it finished opening, and the alarm chimes when driving. When I try to put top back up, it wont go beyond a certain point, and bounces back and forth. Do you have any idea what my issue might be?

    Thank you for this really informative video! I have an issue with my chrysler crossfire where the lid won’t lock into place. You normally hear a click when the convertible roof has completely shut whilst depressing the convertible top button. If you look back over your shoulder when sitting in the front seat the metal latch in the centre in front of the back window should be completely flush. Do you think deck lid latch switch which is behind the boot lid?

    Hello Klaus, thank you for sharing this information to the masses, it is very helpful. We are having a problem with our 05 blowing the top control unit 25A fuse. I have looked for the obvious shorted wire and am starting to think all is lost :) Are there trouble spots I should prioritize? My wife loves her car and she is growing concerned I'll sell it lol. Thank you, Hal

    Thank you for this video!! I think this will be helpful for my situation. My top is not going down at all. I unlatch the D ring, my windows come down as they should, I have ensured that my trunk divider is in the correct position, but when I press the button it just beeps and does not retract. Is there any sensor you think I should prioritize?? Thank you, again.

    What is the meter suppose to read that goes to latch sensor

    • @TopHydraulics
      @TopHydraulics  2 місяці тому

      The switches on the latches should read closed circuit when the latches are open and open circuit on any latch that is open.

    Can some tell me why my two little flaps on the side dont move when im opening or closing the roof I have to do it manually????

    • @TopHydraulics
      @TopHydraulics  3 роки тому +1

      The flaps are actuated by steel cables. If the flaps don't move, that is a purely mechanical problem. Take a good look at it and you will figure it out.

    Do you have a video changing the hall sensor?

    • @TopHydraulics
      @TopHydraulics  Місяць тому +1

      We don’t, but we will put it on our list of videos to make. Our video on removing the main lift cylinders shows how to take the sensors out, though, and that leaves you with connecting the wires as per instructions on our package with the sensor in it.

    Not a bad video , but you left out some of the sensors, What about the switch in the top by the passenger seat, and the one in the windshield , The problem that I am having with my top Is that when it's closed , It beeps when I drive, It goes off after about a mile , but when I stop , It will beep again for a little while , When the top is open, everything is fine, But I know when I unlatch the D ring , The windows should go down first , But don't , I have tested the switches with a meter , They all seem to work , But it still is beeping with a red light blinking on the top switch , Any help would be appreciated...

      You are right - we accidentally edited some switches out of the video. We will take the video offline while we are trying to fix it. Meanwhile, I would be happy to talk to you about the fault you are experiencing if you could please contact me directly at klaus@tophydraulics.com

    I cant see the sensor on the rt top bow tension cylinder and the video does not show the actual location. Help anyone (rt side)

    • @TopHydraulics

      Look at the two cut-outs in the aluminum rail on the left bow tension cylinder, as seen here in the listing for for the cylinder rebuild: www.tophydraulics.com/chrysler-/248-1990-chrysler-crossfire-left-bow-tension-cylinder.html#/30-core_exchange-send_your_parts_to_top_hydraulics_first. The cutouts are where the two sensors clip in.

      @@TopHydraulics I have my top sticking when trying to open. stops moving at about 10 inches above the windshield and has to be coaxed up. My hydraulic fluid is full and appears not to be leaking. Is there a sensor that is causing this stoppage... btw the pump keeps running as if it is trying to complete the opening of the top

    • @TopHydraulics
      @TopHydraulics  2 роки тому

      @@rayharmacinski4934 Are you saying that the pump is lifting the top off the windshield several inches and then seemingly does not have enough power? Close to the windshield is where the pump needs the most pressure to lift the top. If the top starts moving and then slows down and comes to a stop while the pump is still running, then I would assume that you have a mechanical problem with the top or not enough pump pressure.
