As someone who has autism, your story and your words mean so much! "Surrendering to autism does not mean giving up hope".

Thank you. I have a step grandson with severe autism whom I haven't met yet. I'm trying to learn all I can so I can connect with him. My biggest fear is saying or doing something that may cause him distress.

Carrie is a beautiful girl, she looks like her mother. There is so much of her mom's spirit/fight/freedom in her, she is strong and empowered thanks to her love and support. They have grown so much together..... such endearing wonderful women they both are.

What a lovely beautiful daughter Yes we all go through that phase "is it our fault ,have we done something to cause it!" As a dad to 3 on the Autistic spectrum it is hard work thankfully ours are toilet trained but My wife and I work with some whom are not which to a parent is time consuming ! But we love our kids and obviously want what is best for them!.

I don't get why people are upset when finding out that their child has Autism, it's no big deal because yes they are different but their no different to everyone else, they just do things in their own way that's all.
