I always though the Define S to be a bit too long so this is a welcome update. My favorite case so far for air-cooling and silence. Fractal did it again.
I still like to have an optical drive in any system I build, but this case does look pretty sweet. If I ever want something more portable (currently have a CM Storm Sniper case) I might just have to pick this up.
looks like you could fit a 360 rad in the front, I have the define S atm and I've watercooled with one 240 and one 360. Would be nice to make the move to kaby lake with this casr and the same watercooling stuff.
and here you go :-) Comes with either solid panel or with side panel window. www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/define-series/define-c/define-c-window
Ive been using different iterations of Fractal`s Define series of cases for a good few years. Yes, it does make some difference. Especially on the laters version where even more thoughtprocess in the general chassis design has been focused on leading sound out the back....where it is less noteworthy. You could also buy this case with a solid side panel that adds more sound dampening material to the case.
Good review, but you do not need to remove the panel on the psu shroud in order to remove the bottom drive cage. Just remove the psu plate on the back and slide the drive cage out the back
I wonder if you guys could get away with creating a second channel dedicated to the massive amount of items you guys unbox daily, then use this channel for the in-depth analysis
If the top dust filter clicked into place instead of magnets & the front panel was more open I'd love this. Basically if it was a smaller version of the MasterCase Pro 3. Both Fractal Design & Cooler Master are so damn fucking close to what I need in a case. Seems like one always has something a tad bit off though =\.
4:00 Really sounds like Jack says "More than apple room". Also as of commenting the title says "MIni C" not "Mini C". On top of that the 170cm cooler tells me this review was a bit rushed, not proof read, or Jack is having an off day. Either way, nice case, and appreciate your work.
i understand that this case is able to fit 360 and 240 rads. but i was wondering if watercooling is easy to build in the Define C (not the mini C) compared to the Define S where the design of the case was in mind of watercooling building with those reservoirs brackets.
most likely going to be somewhat more of a challenge too find room for the pump and reservoir as this case is more shallow compareed to the Define S. I think a small pump/res combo in the basement will be your best bet to avoid cramping up the space for the gpu(s). We will se what the first customers will make of it...or whe the mod munkeys at MNPCTECH has the case up for review
The only concern I have about this case is that the front fanfilter is too hard to access. I would like it to be as easy to access as the bottom filter, but in this case you need to remove the front panel. I would need to clean that filter every week due to hair from our cat getting stuck there...
I normally small cases isn't my thing because of cable management and becayse I prefer ATX MOBO's because I like extra space. I use 1 or 2 graphics cards, PCI-e wifi card, multiple HDD and SSD's, and other accessories. plus I like side Fans.
Tbh I thought it was going to be 80+ and realistically speaking, the pricing isn't too bad, but if I can have a bigger case with more functionality and nice aesthetics for the same or lower price, I'd take it any day
This is supposed to be a small form factor case right? You're not fooling me, I heard you say "headphone jack" don't call this space saving. It's not even courageous!
I've been looking awhile for a good mid tower atx case in purple for my wife's pc I plan to build. About to just paint one and call it a day unless anyone knows a good one born that color?
2:47 I think there is error. There should be propably not 170cm but 170mm.
pretty sure you can fit 1,7 meter cooling tower there. So I see nothing wrong with that.
yea they got that wrong xD
best review on youtube. thank you. You are the only one who showed us what it looked like when you remove the shroud and put a fan there.
I always though the Define S to be a bit too long so this is a welcome update. My favorite case so far for air-cooling and silence. Fractal did it again.
170cm? That would be a cooler the size of the average teen in the USA, jammed into a case. A bit big innit?
tmshero still wouldnt be enough for a amd pc.
joshua powell Lol
hahaah
I still like to have an optical drive in any system I build, but this case does look pretty sweet. If I ever want something more portable (currently have a CM Storm Sniper case) I might just have to pick this up.
Pretty good, would be easy to use on working environments where you don't need too much power. Good Job Fractal.
170 centimeters.... Are you sure? Beautiful case though.
"Mini" cases ;)
I caught that too.
That would be a badass cooler tho XD
i guess u can install a nice look short girl
I could smuggle my wife in it
Very nice, I like how clean and simple everything is!!!!
When a cooler is even taller than you.... #Feelsbadman
I'm sold. I will be buying one of these for my first build.
I am seriously considering buying this case. It has all the goods.
you are my favorite tect channel
So easy to build in. No frills and well thought out.
Interesting case. Looking at a new build and want some thing a bit smaller than my Haf X that I use now.
NCIX congratulations for 1M subs
I got a Define model (thanks to Jack's review video!) and am very happy with it. This case seems like a baby version of mine. Neat!
looks like you could fit a 360 rad in the front, I have the define S atm and I've watercooled with one 240 and one 360. Would be nice to make the move to kaby lake with this casr and the same watercooling stuff.
Looks promising for a future build!
I want a mid tower version of this case. Looks like all the (small) issues I had with the Define S have been fixed
and here you go :-) Comes with either solid panel or with side panel window. www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/define-series/define-c/define-c-window
John Ivar Rubach Oh, hell yes. Thanks for the heads up!
Youre welcome.
John Ivar Rubach If only my local retailers imported good cases...
Looking to put together a PC for my little brother. Going for a Micro ATX board, so this might be a nice case.
Finally. A nice, simple, compact case.
And there it is..... the case I've been waiting for... Finally
How's the airflow though compared to the Arc Mini R2 or MasterCase Pro 3?
That's a pretty nice case! Any word if the sound dampeners on the top and front actually help at all?

Can you install 3 x 120mm fans in the front and still use the HDD cage?
Looks like a wonderful case.
cool case. might have to consider it on the new build
that case is gorgeous
I'm really liking it. Would definitely like to replace my ancient case with this one.
I love the idea of hiding the drive cage and PSU under a shroud. I'm surprised I haven't seen this before now. It looks so much more clean and open.
plenty of cases have done that before dude
are you live under a rock lol
xs3tsunax lol. Yea I was like what?
i want to put a 360 rad in the front and keep the hard drive cage, if i slide the cage all the way over how much space will i have to work with?
That looks like a really nice case
Very nice living room case!
In a double GPU setup will the 2ND GPU suffocate? Because I do see air intake holes in the PSU shroud.
I have considered that :) Especially when I built in the Node 202.
Great review.
Had been waiting for 4 years for fractal to make a matx case in the define series.
anyone else realise the Mini C name is spelled MIni C at the title?
Good review, but you do not need to remove the panel on the psu shroud in order to remove the bottom drive cage. Just remove the psu plate on the back and slide the drive cage out the back
I wonder if you guys could get away with creating a second channel dedicated to the massive amount of items you guys unbox daily, then use this channel for the in-depth analysis
will a 240mm h100i v2 fit at the top? and can you put 3 140mm fans at the front for intake?
Please can you tell me this: can I install a 280mm rad in the front with a 900 series reference card?
Thanks so much!!
dropcmd Probably, depends on the card tho. We know that the 7990 fits, so google its length and you cards length to see if it fits
dropcmd or just build on pcpartpicker and see if it's all good
Thanks for your time guys! C:

That does look like a simple, beautiful case. Good price too.
Can you guys review the new BitFenix Prodigy M (mATX version)?
can i put 2 x 140 fans plus 1 x 120 fan in the front? Please help
have to have that windowed version.
Wish they would make an updated Arc/Arc Mini...
Remind me again, how a 170cm fan would fit inside this case? Or better yet. Show it.
wonder if this case has watercooling potential. if it does, i can't wait to see some online~
It does. up to 360mm up front and 280 in the roof.
i understand that this case is able to fit 360 and 240 rads. but i was wondering if watercooling is easy to build in the Define C (not the mini C) compared to the Define S where the design of the case was in mind of watercooling building with those reservoirs brackets.

When and how can I buy the ATX version?
would a corsair H100i v2 radiator and fans fit in this case with a 1070 or 1080
Just built a RTX 3090 pc with this case, and it's awesome.
this case incluided alternative filtre?
Legend has it if you comment early enough Jack will reply.PHEW PHEW PHEW PHEW
Can you remove the PSU Shroud..? Does it come in white yet..?
Wow i wish my Define R5 had some of those features. PSU shroud, and a moduvent dust filter at the top.
ITT: excited observations of order of magnitude error
Where can i purchase this cooler that comes close to 170cm?
I saw this review on another channel. looks like a decent case
The only concern I have about this case is that the front fanfilter is too hard to access. I would like it to be as easy to access as the bottom filter, but in this case you need to remove the front panel. I would need to clean that filter every week due to hair from our cat getting stuck there...
even though I have a gaming pc, I kinda want that case and hardware just because it's smaller than mine.
I wish I had the size of that. But I like my Define R5 and it runs just fine.
I like this guy he doesn't stop about
Would this be the smallest MATX case with window?
cool looking case
loving the 1.7 meter CPU cooler
Woah you can fit 1.7 meter cpu coolers! Fractal is now defying space time!
excuse me, can i use motherboard MSI B150M Mortar Arctic in this case?
Nice, want one for my upgrade from ddr2
I have a case that is not space efficient :/
I take in consideration buying a new one that you reviewed guys ;)
Oh Oh I'm early i want to say something to you Guys
Keep up the good work :)
I normally small cases isn't my thing because of cable management and becayse I prefer ATX MOBO's because I like extra space. I use 1 or 2 graphics cards, PCI-e wifi card, multiple HDD and SSD's, and other accessories. plus I like side Fans.
Although this case is nice
This is actually cool
Does it support micro atx motherboards?
is that a 7xxx series Radeon card?
this just for fullATX would be awesome
Tbh I thought it was going to be 80+ and realistically speaking, the pricing isn't too bad, but if I can have a bigger case with more functionality and nice aesthetics for the same or lower price, I'd take it any day
Sounds Dollar right for a super clean case.
Title is wrong guys you put "Mlni" instead of mini.
**puts on sunglasses**
Shift happens.
SH Dagon so...a typical pun?
I would have bought this instead of the Nzxt s340 3 months ago if it was available when I built my new rig.
how much in canada?
That's definitely a beautiful case for being so small! I wonder how it would be to build in it with my fat fingers?
This is supposed to be a small form factor case right? You're not fooling me, I heard you say "headphone jack" don't call this space saving. It's not even courageous!
Still prefer the Silverstone TJ08e case. That case was ahead of its time.
Happy 1 million?
I love that I can fit my 1.7m tall cooler in that, aka my fridge.
I've been looking awhile for a good mid tower atx case in purple for my wife's pc I plan to build. About to just paint one and call it a day unless anyone knows a good one born that color?
Arucard Helsing me haz one send 100 US pai pal
so whats the difference between the Define Nano s and the Mini C?
Define Nano S is a case for ITX motherboards only, this will cater for either ITX or Micro ATX....amongst a bunch of other differences.
*THIS IS A COMMERCIAL FOR FRACTAL DESIGN*
looks nice af
That cm/ mm is a crucial difference
Cool casing. Pocket dry now
#NCIXDefineMiniC
So classic
So awesome
How is that Mini?
좋은 글과 사진들이 참 많네요. 자주 소통해요!
Yeah, gotta revise those measurements. But still not a bad case.
I'd be happy to win that damn chair.
Can this fit a Hyper 212X CPU cooler?
Is that less than 170cm tall?
Nice case !
GPU should be mounted vertical (like on a riser card mounted on the PSU shroud) so you don't have it sagging...
