- CAN I SEW A DRESS IN ONE HOUR?
OK so I severely overestimated whether I could make this dress in an hour. The shirring (still don't know how to say it) took an hour on it's own! The dress itself cost next to nothing with each of the fabrics costing a few pounds each and the elastic was from my stash. She looks absolutely fab, red is definitely her colour. I hope this is the start of lots of tween dress sewing!
This project is a great sewing project for a beginner as it needs no pattern at all. Just a few rectangles (AT LEAST double the measurements if you're using elastic) and a lot of elastic. Easy peasy.

I was making hey day dungararees for a friend cut the pattern and then she changed her mind 🤨so I ended up making trousers instead. ( I was going to follow your sew along to them) I wrote to you a couple of sew along videos and how the apple pie did you understand that comment I wrote 🤔 New phone and kept putting / changing my words😬 I do wonder waffle alot heehee, back to this sewing video, awesome this dress looks.
