I also got a bit nostalgic. I had to check when this possibly was aired - around ~1984 ((???) - maybe a year later that it aired in Sweden) and thus I must have been something like ~11-12 years old. But I still remembered it! ("...or else I'll burn your village." was quote that stuck and got reused for many years after that.)
one of the funniest sketches=by smith and jones--i was thinking today of this sketch-i have it on vhs as well somewhere---thanks for uploading it for all to see--those days--the video heads were always dirty or the the tapes were cheap quality- or the tracking was off-or the machine had done a lot of miles--but thanks again--
@vmkkith Its nice to meet such a shrewd judge of comedy vmkkith. I also watched and taped this years ago, but I didnt lose it I managed to copy it to DVD Ram and upload it on YouTUbe.
Thanks for posting ...Ja Lekker !! Looks like the equally hilarious Iranian TV " Terry & June " spoof is next , also remember laughing @ that & creating a little " ginger beer " of my own...please post that if you can..thankyou !!
I remember (you ay not) when my frigate pilled in to Simonstown (said you wouldn't remember) a couple of crew and I were in a cafe and I'll swear this is EXACTLY how the coloureds were treated.....
Yeah go ahead, tell us about it. Let me see, Don't Arabs vote in Israel elections? Aren't there Arabs in the judiciary? Arabs serve in the Israeli Army, Arabs in the parliament. Yeah, the apartheid must be terrible. Meanwhile in Gaza, you'll be hunted down if you're a Jew, Hamas executed opposition figures when it took power, Hamas live like kings while their citizens live like paupers. Yeah, I know where I would rather live if I was an Arab.
Kevin Munday rubbish. The only ones carrying on about pc are fragile little flowers like you. British comedy still exists and is just as good as this. Why can’t you just enjoy it without being a petty little snowflake?
@@seymourskinner2533 I see the shout-down, give-abuse brigade are alive and well though. Do you lack the mental capability to form a coherent counter-argument without resorting to this as a first retort? I'm sure you're better than this.
@@seymourskinner2533 Actually you cast the first stone, I just caught it and threw it back at you. I quote your terms "rubbish", "Fragile little flower", "petty little snowflake". @@robbrown7592 your ponderous attempts at pedantry don’t contradict my point. They also don’t change my response to the op. He provided the lowest form of observation and deserved no better than he got. But hey keep thrashing about on your faux high ground. It’s amusing to watch.
“The phrase is unnecessary here as the waiter’s village was burned down yesterday” lol 😂
I also had this on VHS (long since lost) Fantastic to see this again. A classic
I am Afrikaans, if this was not so funny I could have been offended.
Dit sou snaakser gewees het as die nie so waar was nie.
I remember seeing this a long time ago and laughing my head off, particularly the scene were the cat appears.

Mea culpa I did not get the cat part
Well, the cat is ginger, so you might wanna wonder where the ginger ale comes from...
Awesome
Ah, katspoegie.
I wonder why they didn't make a sketch called 'Speak Zimbabwean with Robert Mugabe' or 'The ANC Way To Political Corruption'.
Idiot
Praat jy Afrikaans is the correct pronunciation...
Ok now that the black majority ANC government has been in power for 26 years let’s see the revised version of the skit.
@@Hartley_Hare No, but it might make for an even funnier sketch -- relevance and all that.

I saw this exact behaviour in Jo'berg.
