Never forget never repeat.
So, he wants us to forget history. We should never forget history good or bad, it happened and should never stop. Looking back at history helps the future in my opinion. As Stg Brian said, history should never have a sell-by date
The majority have already forgotten history because they were never taught it. We are taught history in nationalist terms. What is omitted and what is accepted without scrutiny are important too.
Some say it will die off in the long term; I certainly hope that it doesn't for quite a while yet.
