Really cool video, very informative. Tells me pretty much everything I would want to know if I got the opportunity to get a truck to build. The Unibilt set up,with a 60" sleeper, on a 266" extended hood truck would be perfect for me. The look that I'd want, and the working ability. The information about the cab modifications and support structure is really great. You guys and Old Two Stroker are a blast to watch. Your Joy Ride and his Mossy Broke are awesome trucks.
LIke #2. Hey, do a 5 second intro to your vids of the Joyride starting up, haha ! Question; do you have to go for an EPA test ever with Joyride? Like a cold start smog test once/year like commercial trucks have to up here in Canada?
At this time there isn't an annual test here. There is however spot and roadside check enforcement. We are confident Joyride will pass for its emission standard. The engine being newer and electronic it's going to run cleaner than the truck ever did with the original engine. The startup in the video was not a setup. That's the first start in 2 plus months. Thanks for watching.
Did you put all the unibilt brackets and the windshield mask in the 359 cab.... have seen lots of these done but there kinda cobled together most of the time...have you considered getting rid of the window in the sleeper and making it a double door..... keep up the good work bud always enjoy your vids....thought you might have quit the ol youtube there glad to see you back
Sorry about the lapse. With harvest and then the back load it was 7 days of grind for a while. Back at it now. Lots of people don't like the window and I kinda wish now I would have done something with it. The a pillars in a 359 are smaller and cannot accommodate the unibilt structure. We tried that first. We built additional supports underneath to support it all and put 2 more bags under the back of the cab to carry the weight.
@@MatzkeDiesel you don't gotta apologize man... I totally understand and I tip my hat to the farmers when they go they go and there ain't no stopping... I have seen a few 359 unibilt conversions.... my buddy is doing his 86 ext hood he added the support that goes over the door openings to the upper cab to sleeper mounts no windshield mask
@@MatzkeDiesel That's great information for someone thinking about building a truck. And yeah, never apologize for having to work the farm. Those of us who have know what it means and how it is. It's something to be proud of, not to apologize for.
