@DB Darshan Bhatta Buddy, what you are saying is partly right, but with that logic, every other advice is just an opinion. You talk about data fact analysis, again it depends on how big of a data you have, different volume of data may show you different patterns.
So at the end, it is always what you feel is optimum, your opinion.

@DB Darshan Bhatta Well, the video was mostly about why college is important.
Either I don't understand how what you are saying is related to it, or you are discussing something else.
About data, it can't lie, agreed, but it can be miss interpreted.
Like there is this notion that college has no value, which I don't agree. And I found data which backs my opinion,

College matters because it's not about curriculum or education system it is the feelings what you get there the brand name and every other things apart from education.....if you got to tier 1 college then you can't think about lower GPA you automatically study harder when you see other students which are better than you .

In IT sector, college is irrelevant ( if you are working in USA and an US resident)
I have seen many people becoming managers/ senior level programmers at age of 27-28 only because they didn’t go to college and started working after high school. For international students that’s a different case , college is one of the main ways they can enter US. But still I think if they smart they won’t go for expensive colleges with big brand names , rather they should be going to a reasonable college in good job market area.

Still didnt get the point you were trying prove about why college matters. If you are trying to mean that you get to meet new people, you get opportunities where you can test yourself challange yourself for your betterment then its ok but still it doesn't mean "college" is the only path to succeed. Ultimately first priority of people is to get a good pay and with college definitely you get a kickstart in this but in most cases people don't even get jobs. When you are just trying to get good grades and dont invest time in other things or other skills you kind of get yourself in a do or die situation. So I wont say college does not matter but this is not the only option. It does give you a lot of advantages but if you are stuck in just getting good grades and getting into a great college then you are just calling danger for yourself.

College is obviously never required, that's so true.
The real point is only when you are bound to timelines(semester, exams, job searching), result comes.
It goes without saying a highly dedicated person don't need college due to this reason.

    1. Degree itself
    2. Like minded people or u can say better group of friends. Who have achieved better than u. Who pushes u to do something more.
Tbh it depends what level of college u deserves whether Harvard or hululu college 📚

I guess whatever you said was relevant to a student but it did not support your main discussion about colleges. Unsatisfactory explanation. To me, college is a place you go only if you're interested. People exist with polar opinions and not one group should try to influence/look down upon the other group. Going to college because of interest and a genuine need to learn more, is a matter of personal choice and nobody can be & should be persuaded otherwise. The one incident that you described about a guy going to a fair at MIT and getting an opportunity and persistence being the key, may have worked for him, but yeah it may not be the case for everyone. Some people may read into this out of context and only aim at visiting MIT's career fairs. There exist other ways to be successful in education too.
College does not directly help you build a temperament that is mature and responsible but it definitely creates an environment for people to grow and learn beyond acads; indirectly facilitating the same. Again, people are different and so are their thoughts about this. Some people think the same temperament can be achieved outdoors facing the real world. Some people do not think them as necessary qualities at all. They rather build a different skillset than be a polished graduate. (Watch Jack Ma vs Elon Musk, a stark example of people having different views about education and still being successful in life.) Humans have a natural tendency to boast about how they got through in life. What we need to understand that it is just 1 opinion, 1 way of getting through. There exist other ways too and there is no need to rely on proxy experiences to lead a life. I suppose it is also necessary to understand that people exist at every tier and since they are differentiated, a society and economy runs functionally. Everyone cannot be educated and everyone doesn't want to be educated. People influencing people to drop out following examples of Bill Gates, it is definitely misread, but it is inevitable. This is not a fight against them to persuade people back into education. If anything, you can talk about why should people go to colleges...as in what mindsets should you have while pursuing a higher education. I'd say that's definitely a good video topic.

Course takes up a higher value, a college with multiple faculties and labs designated to just your course is an absolute boost and allows you opportunities to make contacts. Obviously, only good colleges with have these facilities available, so there's where your college choice comes in. Naturally speaking, it's a trade-off. But your course is predominantly more important.
