Buff was great in WCW, looked amazing, great name, gimmick, a decent worker with a good finisher. It's a damn shame he broke his neck, took away all his momentum. Some guys were still contracted to WCW well into 2003. Goldberg, Stevie Ray, Vampiro and Shawn Stasiak (who took a buyout instead of getting paid to do nothing ) being four of them. Flair was another one who had a guaranteed contract until 2003 but he took a buyout and feuded with Vince instead. Goldberg made $6 million sitting on his ass for two years the lucky sob.

And If WCW Had All Their Top Stars, All Maybe Except Roddy Piper & Bret Hart Or Even Randy Savage. Picture Mick Foley & Pat Patterson Taking On Guys In Matches Like Hulk Hogan, Sting, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Goldberg, Lex Luger & Sid Vicious. Why didn't TNA ever sign Buff Bagwell? He was over with the fans in WCW, had great mic skills, could wrestle and looked great. And when WWE fired him he was still pretty young probably not even 30 yet. The demise of Buff Bagwells pro wrestling career is one of the most puzzling I've ever seen. It's so sad. And it's sad to see him still so bitter especially at good ole JR. But I can't blame him. WWE royally screwed up on not making this guy a star and their company making only a quarter million dollars a year down from the three-quarters of a million dollars a year he was making in WCW. WWE also screwed up Scott Steiner's run in the early 2000s when he should have been champion and the top heel.

Booker and DDP did the same thing except they took early buyouts from Turner to free themselves to sign with WWE as they both still had a lot of time left on their Turner deals. Left in the ring at the end was just The Rock and Booker T. Sting said he could see The Rock say "Who are you?" to Booker T which Sting found incredibly disrespectful. Sting said The Rock legitimately had no idea who an icon like Booker T was. That was something that bothered Sting and made him want nothing to do with the WWE. Say about Buff what you will, he may not have been a Bret Hart or a Shawn Michaels on a technical level, but he was entertaining as hell, and over with the WCW audience. His time with Scott Steiner, both as partners and rivals, resulted in some of the best and most memorable moments of WCW's history, and if WWE had not spent the past 19 years burying WCW these segments would have been just as iconic as DX's antics today. It seems the only facet of WCW that WWE has not tried to bury is the NWO, but only because that was simply too big to bury, so Vince decided to try and profit from it, and revive it several times.
The fact that Vince bought WCW only to run it further into the ground shows you what a spiteful psychopath the man is.

The Cat was a legit martial artist but lackluster as a wrestler with an even worse gimmick. The only time I think anyone ever liked Konnan was when he was with the Wolfpac, and only because he was a member of the Wolfpac. I saw a recent Konnan interview and boy does that guy have an incredibly inflated view of himself and his run in WCW. He basically claims to be the king of the luchadors and the WCW was a racist organization. The guy is a complete tool box.

@@slayermill8621 I agree that most people could care less for Konnan. He does have a big opinion of himself but he has some right to be. Just for all he did in Mexico. He was big shit there. He was like the Mexican Hogan, but nobody here in the states cared. His gimmick never really got over. If he didn't run with the WolfPack he would never have been over.

The round table he's talking about was called "Legends of wrestling" and it used to be on the original "WWE Network" on cable in the late 2000's. It's still on youtube

The Time Warner/aol executives where the real Disaster for WCW... they aren't everyday, level headed, blue collar people. They despise the culture of wrestling and all the fans that are part of it and think its a national disgrace, fit only for the low class and the ignorant. The only reason they sold WCW only to Vince was with the condition that the company was to be totally liquidized, which Vince had NO problem doing. There was even a falling out with Shane over this because he thought he was going to be given the permission to run it and thought WCW being out of the picture was going to be bad overall for WWE...which he was right....

I believe Buff Bagwell. I feel it was Jim Ross. And I'm a Jim Ross fan. I do remember Jim Ross saying that Buff's mom called him telling him he can't make the upcoming shows. I saw it on the Monday Night Wars DVD.

What’s funny is that buff’s story hasn’t changed at all in all these shoot interviews. Idk if that means anything but I just thought I’d put it out there

Because he was under the impression that he would be brought back he waited two weeks after the 3 months and J.R. said we'll call you if we need you.

The thing that hurt wrestling the most in the last 25 years has been WCW folding up. I had hopes for AEW but Tony Khan obviously doesn’t know what he’s doing. He has almost as much talent as WCW had and he has no clue how to get them over and people to care.

I had to go back and watch the match there was nothing wrong with it, a part from one botched spot but it was okay, the crowd wasn't into it because it was WCW themed with two WCW guys

So people may hate me for this but I think Ted Turner should buy TNA, hire old school WCW talent to run it and even maybe Cornett or Dillion or someone and finally get that shipped righted

It will never happen Ted Turner is done with the business WCW was his baby unlike TNA. WCW helped make TBS because of that Ted was always thankful of it and was going to keep it around no matter what you hear people all the time like Bischoff say before he was made VP they said in 1993 that they wear going to shut it down it would never happen Ted would not allow it when he merged with AOL that was the end of it because he lost his power had he not WCW would be here today and am sure most of the Wrestlers from TNA would have been in WCW. Ted was like Vince no matter how much money it would lose they would keep going to make it better people say Ted quit he did not he lost control and that was the end of it plus hardcore WCW fans are gone they will never come back if they did they would be watching TNA they don't.

Buff said that Booker T was the best black wrestler who was also good talker but didn't mention The Rock, who wasn't the best worker but one of the best on the mic.
