Hi Corrina, I found you first on this channel and now watch you on Just vintage and I love you there too. I've been wanting a skirt like this and glad you took so much time to show it. I'm a bit bigger girl than you, so I was just wanting the multiples of this modification. Then I can go from there and adjust it. Thanks for all three channels cuz I love on your vlog too
Hi Im a huge fan of yours and of pineapple patterns!! I ve been watching your channel on antique patterns. Fascinating so.. So lookn at all possible patterns for last year at least. Finally deciding on this one and low and behold its you!! LoL Id know your voice anywhere. LoL. A million thanks and by the way its perfectly lovely, just lovely. Using flowerart i thnk its called.
I love the pineapple stitch. The skirt is beautiful in all the different lengths. I am going to make this for the neighbor girl. I think she will love it. Now just to decide on color and where to work it into my list of WIP's. lol Thanks for the video so I can make it whenever it works for me.
I love the pineapple stitch too ☺️, I bet she will love it , I have made this skirt in dark, light and earth tone colors, I find the light and earth tones are easier to see the stitches 👍🏻👍🏻
I happened onto your video. I made this same skirt 2 years ago. I think it’s based on the same one you saw. I wanted to lace it up in the back too. And I wanted mine shorter.
Awesome tutorial Corrina! Pineapples are my very favorite motif! Having graduated to size 20, I don't wear skirts anymore. But I think it would make a gorgeous cape! Don't know that I have that translation in me! Btw - I never received notification for this posting and I subscribed at least a few months before you uploaded it. Same for your shredded sleeves bolero tutorial. CONGRATULATIONS ON 965 SUBSCRIBERS!!! Almost time to celebrate 1,000!!!
Thank you so much Rosemary 😊, I’m sorry that notifications don’t always work, this has been a problem for subscribers of just about all channels and UA-cam has never bothered to work on it lol, it really world make a lovely cape 😊, Im so excited to cross that milestone soon 😁😁😁😁 1k subscribers 👍
Thanks for this tutorial. You do such a great job of teaching! I'm doing the extra large starting chain using fingering weight yarn and 3.5mm hook. Somehow I had a feeling it was too large, but I hate to undo stitches so I kept going but without joining it into a round, figuring I would make a longer lacing section. I think maybe it is my body shape, but it is really wide. I'm just going to keep going back and forth and then either make it a wrap or make a seam and a lining for it when I get to the length that I want. I think I'm going to make it work one way or another because I love this design :)
I was thoroughly captivated by this tutorial. Pineapples are my favorite and were the first things i taught myself how to crochet. I've ABSOLUTELY got to make this skirt! Thank you so much for your tutorial. As always, it was great! How many yards or ounces are needed for a medium or large skirt? I found the yarn, but don't know how much I need. I want to make both and long and short version....
Could you please state the timestamp where to continue from where you leave off. I am confused how to proceed now that I made a single crochet in the second row of pineapples.
I have started my skirt. I always worry that I won't remember the pattern but I always do and like you said, I often look back on the skirt to verify I am correct when starting the new pineapples. I will keep watching the pattern but may end the skirt like I have with doilies and afghans where I complete each point separately. A little tiresome but I love the pineapple so much that I don't mind much. Question: Do you have a specific recommendation on ending the skirt? I rewatched the beginning again and I see where you left off at the top of a pineapple and the middle of the other pineapple and made a straight hemline. I am only on the third pineapple so I have time to decide yet. I like the straight hem so both ways will look great.
Every time I made this I just ended kinda how ever lol not one of them has the same hem , I find that no matter which row the skirt ends on they all look so pretty and unique 😊😊
bought the yarn today, (rainbow wrapsody/teal of fortune) however, I feel like this yarn is soooo thin, but the yard that you are using is thicker than my yard...
I hear you , I used to struggle with that watching tutorials too, now I know that's the camera magnifying things, it will work out for you :) , it is a very thin yarn, like a lace weight , I can't wait to hear how it works out for you , please stay in touch :)
Hi, when you get to the point that you are increasing your double V stitch, that is there the new pineapple will start and that is your pineapple repeat
@@ItsNotKnit well there is something wrong with mine. Nothing fits as it is written. I watched the video twice right through before I ever picked up my yarn. And then I watched and wrote the pattern out. At the end of the video I have the 7 dc separated by a ch 1, flanked by double v stitches and the sc in the top of the pineapple. And that is a combination of rows 15 and 16. So now I am stitching blind. Maybe it works out and maybe not.
@@ItsNotKnit oh hi. I winged it, don't know what was wrong with my pattern but it fit like a hipster so I worked upwards from the waist and made it into a dress with a lace-up front and straps. Then I did a little shawl to wear with it. It turned out fairly cute.
I’m not sure what alpha yarn is, but any yarn thicker than the size in the pattern will result is a thicker skirt and the sizes of the skirt will be bigger as well

What a lovely pattern. It makes up beautifully.
I've always wanted to do the pineapple stitch. You make it look easy. Thanks 😊

Would you mind giving a time stamp of where the repeat pattern starts I’m stuck at the end of the video and I don’t know what row comes next 😢
I am also stuck. I thought around the 40 minute mark, but it doesn't seem to work out.
It's a very nice and helpful video! I would definitely try to make a skirt for my daughter. ❤️
Ordered my yarn from yonkey monkey and can't wait to use this stitch to make a dress
Ohh a dress made with that silky yarn will be so beautiful and Luxurious 😍
I hope so
Finally someone who is decent. I see so many women who wear next to nothing. You’ve given me courage to do someone else’s pattern better
Why put other people down tho?
Could you please state the timestamp where to continue from where you leave off. I am confused how to proceed now that I made a single crochet in the second row of pineapples.
If I did my math right it's 16 stitches for every size counting the plus 3 am I right?

What about larger sizes? Plus sizes? How many stitches do we need to add?
I offer a st count for sm, med and large , Im not sure for 18+ , im really sorry
I have worsted weight cotton. Could I still make this?
It will be very heavy and bulky. The stitches might not show as well either. It's lace weight she is using. Worsted is 4, lace is 1
hi ty for pattern but is way to big for me . can you tell me what the multibles are to make smaller size. ty
What size yarn are you using?
Because the mannequin that you see on the pictures is an extra small, a US size 6
I would suggest using a very thin yarn and a smaller hook, I'm not really sure what the multiples are, 8m so sorry, I wish I knew.
I figured it out multiple of 16
@@donnamerenda6403 awesome! Thank you
To clarify, the repeat rows are from the row where the first pineapple is completed and the second one started?

What weight yarn is that please & thank you?
Lace weight. That yarn is discontinued. It is fine lace weight or a 1
@@sheaconklin8288 thank you for your response! I have a 3 weight I am going to try this with.
Could this be done in alpha yarn instead of thread or would it be to thick
I’m not sure what alpha yarn is, but any yarn thicker than the size in the pattern will result is a thicker skirt and the sizes of the skirt will be bigger as well
The beginning chain is multiples of what?
16
You make too many mistakes for me. Also you talk incessantly!!!
