Im pushing 50 and when i was a young teenage head in the early 90s we used to refer to all the new death metal albums as a "SICK RECORD". Im from central Massachusetts and that term has been around for over 30 years in my neck of the woods..so, to ease anyones anxiety..fuckin disturbed nor any of the new generation of kids DID NOT make that word up...its been around for a looong fuckin time WTF!!!👊

It's still fairly early in 2024, but the best I've heard thus far is Crucifier's "Led Astray." BY THE FUCKING GODS is that a good fucking album. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone on here if you haven't heard it. I don't have a physical copy yet since it just came out less than a week ago, but you can hear it in its entirety on UA-cam. With that said, I feel the new Deceased album will likely be a contender. And indeed, certainly looking forward to the new Lurking Corpses.
Check out Compatriot's "Preserving The Cross and Flag!" Usurpr's "Marauders of the Ascendant" (2023), too! Even that House of Atreus "Orations" EP. Great stuff!
