  • If you are a foreign dentist and want to move and work in the UK, there is a procedure you have to follow.
    You must be eligible and get a dental degree from an approved center. You must be a dentist in your home country and have an English language proficiency certificate.
    If your degree is from a registered center, you can work as a dentist in the UK by just registering with the officials.
    But if your certificate is not from a registered university, you need to send your documents for evaluation and pass the tests.
    This video will bring you how to pass the tests and what stages you have to follow.
    If you have questions, write them down in the comment section.
    The Visa Library team will answer them.

    So..is it okay to register for ore exam even without the English language proficiency test if you have already took 1 year of masters program related to dentistry in uk

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  6 місяців тому +1

      If you have completed a one-year master's program related to dentistry in the UK, it may exempt you from the English language proficiency test requirement for the Overseas Registration Exam (ORE). However, it's essential to confirm this with the General Dental Council (GDC) in the UK, as requirements can vary and be subject to change. You should check the latest guidelines from the GDC to ensure you meet all the necessary criteria for registration.

    Is there a scholarship or something for the ore? Or maybe a cheaper option I'm broke 😢

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  5 місяців тому +1

      To immigrate and work as a dentist in the UK, you generally need to pass the Overseas Registration Exam (ORE) or the License in Dental Surgery (LDS) exam, which are conducted by the General Dental Council (GDC) to ensure dentists trained outside of the UK meet the necessary standards. These exams can be costly, and preparing for them also involves significant financial and time investment.
      Regarding scholarships or financial assistance for the ORE/LDS exams, direct scholarships specifically for these exams are rare. However, here are a few suggestions for finding financial support or more affordable options:
      Employer Sponsorship: Some dental practices or healthcare institutions may sponsor your exam fees if they are interested in employing you once you are registered with the GDC. This is more common for dentists who have already secured a job offer or have a strong professional network in the UK.
      Educational Grants and Scholarships: Look for general educational grants and scholarships offered by dental associations, cultural organizations, or educational trusts that support international dental professionals. While these may not be specifically for the ORE/LDS, they could help fund your preparation or exam fees.
      Loan Options: Some banks or financial institutions offer educational loans to international students or professionals seeking qualifications in another country. This could be a viable option if you are confident in your ability to repay the loan once you start working in the UK.
      Cost-effective Preparation: There are various resources available for preparing for the ORE/LDS exams, including online courses, study groups, and second-hand books. Engaging with online communities or forums for international dentists might help you find affordable study materials and advice.
      Part-time Work: Depending on your visa status, you may be able to undertake part-time work to support yourself financially while preparing for the exams. This could help manage living expenses and save towards the exam fees.
      Contact Dental Schools or Universities: Some universities or dental schools in the UK may have programs or advice for international dentists, including information on financial support or more affordable pathways into practicing in the UK.

    Is the pay enough while training with gdc for 1yr?

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  4 місяці тому

      The pay for dentists undergoing training or completing their Overseas Registration Exam (ORE) process with the General Dental Council (GDC) in the UK can vary. While training or working in a dental practice, either in preparation for the GDC registration or as part of a supervised practice, dentists may receive a salary that is enough to cover living expenses. However, the exact amount can depend on the location, the type of practice, and the terms of employment. It's important to research and consider the cost of living in the area where you plan to work and train. Generally, once fully registered and practicing, dentists in the UK can expect to earn a salary that reflects their qualifications and experience.

    Is there any bridging program for dentistry..

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  13 днів тому

      To immigrate and work as a dentist in the UK with an international qualification, you will need to go through a bridging process. Here are the steps you need to follow:
      General Dental Council (GDC) Registration: You must be registered with the GDC to practice in the UK. This involves having your qualifications assessed and meeting the necessary standards.
      Overseas Registration Examination (ORE): If your dental degree is from outside the European Economic Area (EEA), you will need to pass the ORE. This exam tests your clinical skills and knowledge to ensure they meet UK standards.
      Language Proficiency: You must demonstrate proficiency in English, typically through the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with a score of 7.0 in each component.
      Temporary Registration: This option allows you to practice in supervised posts for training, teaching, or research purposes if you do not yet meet the full registration requirements.
      Vocational Training: After passing the ORE, you might need to complete up to a year of foundation training to work in the NHS.

    How to register for training from nhs and after that will i be able to work in government sector

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  9 місяців тому +1

      To work as a dentist in the UK and potentially in the government sector, you should first ensure that your dental qualifications are recognized by the General Dental Council (GDC). Then, obtain the necessary visa and immigration clearance, such as a Tier 2 visa for skilled workers, to work in the UK. You can apply for Dental Foundation Training (DFT) or equivalent training programs offered through the NHS jobs website, complete your training, and gain relevant experience. Afterward, you may apply to join the NHS Dental Performer List. To secure positions in the government sector, including the NHS, it's essential to monitor job openings and apply as opportunities become available. Keep in mind that positions may be competitive, and their availability can vary by region, so staying informed about requirements and job postings is crucial to enhance your chances of working in the UK as a dentist.

    Can you work as a dentist in uk after studying in Europe. Currently in uk A levels student

    • @visalibrary
      @visalibrary  2 місяці тому

      Yes, you can work as a dentist in the UK after studying dentistry in Europe, but there are specific steps you need to follow:
      Recognition of Qualifications: First, you will need to have your dental qualifications recognized by the General Dental Council (GDC) in the UK. If your qualifications are from a European Economic Area (EEA) country and recognized under the Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications Directive, you might have a more straightforward pathway to registration.
      Pass the Overseas Registration Exam (ORE): If your qualifications are not automatically recognized, you may need to pass the Overseas Registration Exam (ORE), which tests clinical skills and knowledge to ensure they meet UK standards.
      Registration with the GDC: Once you have passed the necessary assessments and your qualifications are recognized, you must register with the General Dental Council, which is mandatory to practice dentistry in the UK.
      Visa and Immigration Requirements: If you are not a UK or EEA national, you will need to ensure that you have the correct visa to work in the UK. This may involve applying for a Health and Care Worker visa if you have a job offer from the NHS or another eligible employer.
      Secure a Job: Finally, look for job opportunities in the UK. You can apply for positions in both the National Health Service (NHS) and private practices.
