As a tip in regards to links that redirect you and grabs data, there is a powerful Firefox addon called "Redirector" that actively circumvents this issue. It extracts the legitimate/intended link and makes your browser use that instead of the redirecting link. 10/10 will always use it.

I also have a Dell Computer, and on Dell computers, Dell has licenced extensions from several OEM organizations such as Semantec. Dell has them as licenced and collected in one extension several scans for the computer, named, "Support/Assist. SA is maybe, kinda like CCleaner and such like. And Dell has Microsoft Defender, which is kinda O/K, you can decide whether that is your cup of tea. So I run simultaneously the MS Defender and the SA. For updating, I find that Update Monitor, aka SUMO is very accurate and free. I can run all these items, they are light weight, and I can going when I go to bed, every night or every morning. The computer never gets attacked because the extensions are vert efficient: they are Support/Assist (proprietary) , Microsoft Defender, Sumo (free ware). Thanks for your free advice, I use it a lot. Is there a secure chat like Signal or Telegram that does not require a smartphone to start with. I don't own a smartphone so Signal or Telegram are not an option. Both ask you to first get started with your smartphone. Hard to do when you dont have one.
