I've only listed to old country music my whole life and I play guitar and sing songs nobody's ever heard before, yet it blows my mind how many songs I haven't heard yet! But there's not a radio station that plays these untold songs! Why is that?

I've been listening to country music over a 1'2 decade & never heard this! Jesus - what a tremendous song. Play stuff like this on the radio!!! Absolutely amazing!!!!!!

This may had been Cal's best song and perhaps a favourite among the fans even thopugh this song wasn't put out as a single.

Years ago I listened to several of Cal Smith's songs, but primarily only his "Biggest Hits" that were played on the radio. Nobody does a story song better than Cal with his richly deep and evocative voice. Perhaps his finest example of this was the CMA song of the year in 1974 "Country Bumpkin" but this great album cut is also in that tradition.
