I think sense of humor and being funny are two different things. I have a huge sense humor, but I can't tell a joke to save my life.
That's why you have to cultivate your joke telling. Practice with yourself, in front of a mirror. You have a huge sense of humor, why, that's neat! Write things you find funny down and try recording yourself while performing material. You see the whole image of you as a raconteur, not just a joker. And try to apply that persona next time you find the opportunity to make people laugh.

I looked up this video to help someone in my classes. I want to give him tips because he constantly tries to be funny but never is, and is usually mean to people while doing it. He’s always a pain to everyone around him because of how annoying it is. He’s the only person who laughs at his jokes and doesn’t really understand social cues. This video seems really helpful for giving him tips on what he could do better

Humour, is definitely a person’s own take on life. It’s unique to each person. I laugh at myself everyday. Just be careful that it doesn’t become deprecating humour - easily done and something I get told off for at times - I still get laughs though, due to the twist that’s put on it. Laughing WITH me, not At me......big difference. Thank you for your energy, it’s almost contagious....in a good way, not as in getting the ‘lurgy’ type way.

One thing i learnt in life is that to be humourous you need to be energetic,little practice only then you can deliver timely.

Humor is actually something you can lose! I used to be the class clown. I chose to be the class clown because i loved seeing people smile, i don't know why, but smiles make my day brighter. I never wanted to offend anyone, but i ended up making someone cry because i took my jokes too far. then the following day, i made someone scream at me because... of course, i was bein mean. So i took a break for a couple of months, and guess what? my humor magically disappeared! Now, i'm not boasting or anything, but i just wanted to tell a story in the middle of the night cause i can't sleep.

Xavier morais yeah 2 rules ive learned from experience.
1. To be able to even tell a joke you have to be with your friends not by yourself in isolation so stay away from jokes that interrupt class unless your certain its worth the laugh or you have a nice teacher
2. Never and i mean never tell a joke that would hurt someones feelings, it may be funny for you but for the other person they’re embarrassed or annoyed and do this enough and no one likes u sooooo...

My problem is I can say something really funny in my head and image it and make myself laugh. But the second it comes out of my mouth is not funny anymore. I have a sister that I love very much and her husband is so funny as well...i can handle their jokes but what I have seen more and more is that they r just making fun of me the whole time...i tried to laugh it off so that they can see that I am not bothered by it but it just keeps getting worse and worse and I tried to laugh it off but instead its starting to make me cry.......and i think she overdoes it and I try to make them stop but they keep going so what I do is leave but....it doesnt work for me how can I make them stop if they dont listen to me 😔
