    Came for the Looping Tunnel, emerged with knowledge about both the tunnel and super useful keyboard shortcuts that I didn't know existed but was struggling and wasting SO much time without them. A time/life saver.

    Hi Ben, if the repeater is inside the rectangle group and above the stroke parameter, the stroke width will be even when you change the offset. hope it helps and thank you so much for all the tutorials!

    I actually like how the stroke gets thicker as the lines grow bigger with the repeater. It helps sell the perspective, but to make it loop, I would just keyframe the stroke weight on the individual squares in the beginning before making all the copies.

    • @BenMarriott
      @BenMarriott  5 років тому

      Thanks so much man! I try that towards the end of the video, but the stroke also scales so it's much more difficult to get a loop or a consistent line-weight. It works wonders if that's not an issue in your scene though :D

    Hey dude, I'm enjoying your tutorials so far. I have a question, if you don't mind:
    What shortcut did you used at the 7:18 mark , when renaming the layer, after you pressed ENTER there was something else? It seems there was SHIFT SPACE or something? thank you.

    • @BenMarriott
      @BenMarriott  5 років тому

      Thanks so much, I don't think I pressed anything else, the shift and space I think we're just to name the layer. Enter is all you need

    for some reason im unable to do the mask at 7:35. I followed along and tried it so many times to get it right but it just wont happen. What it does is when I click at the center I cant click elsewhere and when I try to click, it shows a "+" sign alongside the pentool icon but no anchor point seems to come up when I click at that point. Using after effects cc v17.0.6 build 35. Thank you in advance and nice tutorial.

    When I add the repeaters to the grid line and rotate, them they create a weird double line with a small gap in between. and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. I tried dissecting the project files, but to no avail. Any help with this would be much appreciated, love your vids.

    • @ThatPaulBlake
      @ThatPaulBlake 4 роки тому

      I did the same, it was because the line wasnt centered properly, I redid it to make sure it was perfectly in line with the corners of the squares, then also make sure you're adding the repeater to "shape1" and it should work.
