- Tail of the Dragon's "Tame the Dragon" BMW Motorcycle Rally at the Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge in Stecoah (Robbinsville) NC is our annual "Spring" Motorcycle Rally. Like NASCAR starting out with the Daytona 500 as King... this is the exact same for us!. Being cooped up all winter, everyone's ready to bust one loose... and hopefully that's at the Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge and not on the asphalt! We arrive in on a Weds (however I think Tuesday is going to be the new norm). This event has really grown every year, and the excitement that everyone carries in each year, it's only going to keep getting better.
Our day rides can get a little packed on the organized rides, but we do encourage exploring and riding these great roads with smaller more intimate groups. During this Rally, we had6 different groups that were documented, all I can say is camaraderie and fun abounds!
And, can I say we also have the hottest biker women? Hehe, well, check it out yourself (04:04) and as always... post up your comments on any and all subjects, and I can tell you that not even 5% of what we did made this video (So if we film every year, in 20 years you will get the whole picture! :)
When a little adult beverage is in the mix (only after the day rides) time really flies, and just too dang much fun to be always looking for and grabbing a camera. Yep, the Smokey Mountains and Deals Gap (129) ROCK!. We'll be back, and it's always the first weekend in May BTW.
Just great great people all around. I volunteer my services each year and will continue. And, every year we try to add new twists and turns to the Rally and our RV camping in the smoky mountains.

Thank you and yes, they were amazing memories. The funny part about it is... you forget half the stuff a few Months later,,, this (for me) was really kewl because of the lag time to publish it and what I forgot 2 Years later!. I truly was all smiles reviewing all the footage, and only like 5% of what you take makes the video of course, so really had a ton of fun going through all the memory footage!.

Thank you and yepper, 2018 mainly cuz I had more footage that year (than 2019) to put this together. 2021 hopefully we'll film another one, and I (now) have multiple gopro's and mounts for the bike, so maybe that video can be a little different finished product from this one.

Glad you got Rich in this (24:50) from 2018, his passing was a loss for our group.
I should of done a little tribute and PIP of maybe his avatar, the one w the balloon on the roadkill. Dang it, very nice guy, big loss for our group for sure. RIP Rich (Rush2112). Thanks for the catch Tom.

Great to hear the excitement in your type! :) The 50/50 is usually a Money/ticket ordeal, it is quite popular. I run the Free Name Tags and Tee Shirts end of this gig. I also do a Laser Light Show on one of the weekend nites, weather depending. If you're willing to help in any manor, see myself or Doc at the event, always welcoming good folks to help out. It's a great friendly bunch, I'm sure you'll be making ressies for next year, it's just the way it works! :)

Thanks buddy, I'm glad you picked up on the editing too!. It takes me enormous amounts of time to create all the effects and stuff. When I watch a 28min video like this cruise by on the screen it amazes even me that it took several days to accomplish it.
The trip was epic for sure, and, I account most of this to the people who attend. That's you buddy! :) Let's plan on 2021 for another TTD! :)
