Fun ride, your buddy needs to learn how to keep it between the Mustard and the Mayo before he takes a car head on. I love the dragon and burn through on my Camaro, but safe before fast fellas. We all want to make it home at the end of the ride.
Your content is getting a lot better and your shots are really good too.
Go find one of the locals and have them lead you through. You’ll see the faster and safer lines. Stop by one of the photographers and ask who they would suggest and they’ll point the ya. It’s usually a guy on a 600, super moto, or Ducati scrambler(😎) whose tires have the profile of a triangle.
By local standards, that was fairly slow and sketchy. Not busting balls just being truthful.
I spent a good 8 months logging off of tail of the dragon. Myself being a timber faller, I didn't see much action, but my log truck driver buddies certainly did. Man we cut some big timber out there.
Be careful, that road is still public & shit like log trucks DO run it.

Mate...Now that was a ride ! , glad to finally see some "can do" American locals do that tail the justice it deserves . Well done lads . I was beginning to despair as i have only seen grandpa's on their RV Harleys or younger weekend warriors, some out of their depth ,others devoid of technical understanding . Now,now, Im not pissing on your bonfire , but .thats more like the locals ride where Im from , in OZ, The scenic rim on the Gold Coast Hinterland ,and Mt Glorious , we have similar roads, the difference is the population is less than a tenth and we have an understanding with the harleys, the fast bikes go around 5/ 5.30am, zero traffic , and on the way back down around 7,30/8 all the boomers in their Fat Bobs ,7 forty-Eights ect.. are ramping up the hill . Everyone gets a good run . Having said all that , I would love to grab that Dragon's tail while on my Ducati .👍

I’ve never been to the tail of the dragon but I’m finally going on my new road glide this year in the fall season. Yeah bro Harley riders are definitely going to be slower, our bikes are twice as heavy, lean angles aren’t near as good, plus for us it’s not about how fast we get there. Okay, just saw a Harley give sporty the finger. I wouldn’t be mad if I get passed, I fully expect it, I’m happy as long as I don’t get passed on the inside of a corner. lol

So in the first 12 seconds your boys are over the double yellow and another biker coming the opposite direction. SMH. Take this to the track before you kill someone or yourself. You obviously can afford to do so with the bike and gear you have. When I was younger we rode at night time if we wanted to use the entire road because we could tell when someone was coming the other direction. That made me 5 seconds a lap faster than my team mates at Willow Springs in the night during a 24 hour race.
These newbies don't know the rules of the road on the Dragon.
