Regardless of the talk about thinking beyond the left/right spectrum, it's same set of neo-liberal ACT style solutions: lowered taxes on business and the wealthy, removal of labour protections, neutering the RMA, opening up education and the health system to privatization. Would anyone seriously expect anything different?

NZ isn't a competitive market anymore. We need to deregulate and allow a more free and open market

How exactly is further deregulation going to help?

Give businesses more insentive to hire NZ labour rather than foreign labour. Why hire NZers when you can hire Chinese for cheaper and with lower risk? Socialist policies look all nice and friendly but they often end up hurting workers in the long run, give more power to the governmen, and increase our reliability on the state. Also I question your wording of 'further'. All we've done for decades is increase regulation.

What evidence do you have of Chinese being hired over NZ'ders here in NZ?
Do you have a source of an increase in regulation?
What exactly is it that you object to with to my use of 'further'?

Not speficially hiring chinese people over kiwis here in NZ. I'm talking about using sweatshops instead of NZ factories and labourers. All around the western world this is the case.

So you're specifically referencing our inability to match/beat them in the textiles area?
