Molina's voice paired with his incredible lyrics, is just perfection. I was lucky enough to see Magnolia Electric Co perform back in 2006, and it was definitely one of the best shows I've ever been to. I'd listen to What Comes After The Blues on repeat, and then quickly fell in love with everything he wrote. Rest in peace J.A.M. Such awesome music!
I love Jason with all my heart .. I'm sad that he died from drinking . I mean I've been trying to drink myself to death for about 45 years. Guess I'm not trying hard enough.... He seems totally on the ball always to me . I only discovered him a year ago and now he is a big part of my life.... I'm writing again , mainly because of Jason . Because he shows that you should say what you have to say . He's gone , but not forever . Nobody is . Love to all .
I discovered him & his music a few years ago. I love his music ! We’ve lose a huge talent ! I’m very sad on how he killed himself with alcohol. He was such a GREAT TALENTED MUSICIAN !

Jason recorded Let Me Go, Let Me Go, Let Me Go in 2004 then released it over 2 years later in 2006, and same with his other solo album Pyramid Electric Co he recorded that in 2001 then released it in 2004 so during the Magnolia years he didn't record other albums.

Very true beother. Crazy how so many obscure talents like jason fade away too soon but left behind such a wealth of brief legacy. Doesnt seem right
he was a troubled man, but a good one
Hi Randall, I have no idea who u are but I truly hope you're doing well
You mean envious of his efficiency at doing it, at least in an abstract sense? I hear that. About 55 years for me. Apparently I'm lousy at it.
RIP man, bittersweet watching these videos.
musical genius and my all time favourite artist. Rest in peace my guy
Rest in peace brother. Your music saved me.
The best music is never appreciated as much as it deserves to be. I wish I could turn on the radio in my car and hear THIS

His label is releasing some archived cassette recordings on his fan subscription, called Static & Distance. Very worth the like $5 a month so far.

This is the only good quality live video I've seen of Molina/Magnolia Electric Co/Songs:Ohia. Are there other good quality live videos?
