Thanks for the great informative video! I primarily use a Savage C stand with a grip arm kit so that I can mount two lights or a second modifier to the same stand. I also use a Neewer C stand that’s in all black which works great. I’ve been looking for affordable C stands that I can use to suspend 5 x 5 scrim panels for commercial lighting and these look like they may be perfect for that application! In fact, they are cheap enough that I can go ahead and buy two of them!
@@2MinuteTech would love a video on the practical use of this stand. take it through its paces. i been looking a stand to upgrade my youtube studio saw this and another called showmaven for 104usd lol i wonder if its any good
Thanks for this. I don’t use c stands much as I usually film cars outdoors. So I think this would be perfect for my own use in my studio. Like reviews etc. Thanks again 🙏
Exactly the video I was looking for. Thanks for that. Would have been a little more helpful to see it being used. Maybe a light and soft box to see any flex. Other than seeing it work, great presentation. 🙏 Thanks
This is my SECOND TIME watching this video lol. i JUST bought it because of you i was leaning towards the GVM or Impact but u sold me on this. Thanks much i hope it works out for me just as much it did for you. Its time for my studio to get a Stand make over lol.
Thanks for the comment! I’m using the Lomtap right now as a stand for a hair light and also to shoot top down overhead shots at the same time. It’s working out great!
It was a first impressions video, but after using it for a few months I’d say it met the expectation that I had for it. The Neewer stand is a little better, but for the money, this works and has held up to medium usage. If you have any specific questions, I’m more than willing to answer. 👍
What is your go to stand for lighting?
Thanks for the great informative video!

Been using this one for a few months now and can definitely recommend. Thanks for the comment and enjoy your new stands! 🙌

If you buy a c-stand DO NOT remove the washer from the grip head .The teeth from the two sides bites into the washer
You’re not supposed to remove the washer from in between the teeth. It’s there so the teeth can dig into it for a stronger grip.
Once you removed the friction washer you told me how much you know about C-Stands.
I received mine yesterday from Amazon, different brand, exactly the same product down to the bag and the cheap clamps! I paid $79.00
I think sand bag or shot bag for ballast is actually a water bag on this rig.

3:06 Wrong Info! NOT A MANUFACTURING DEFECT! That bush is for the griphead to bite into when tightened so that the teeth don't wear off!

2 min. in. That's a knuckle that hold the arm. The base is a turtle base.
such a good video idea :)
Solid segment!
$124 ain’t cheap 😭
Whats the next inexpensive c stand you recommend? 👀
Thoes plastic nubs on the clamps will pop off the first time you use them.
The washer is supposed to stay in between the teeth, Matthews does that too. You made it worse by removing it.
thank you for this bro!
Still using it daily for a month+. Good little C Stand for the price! 🙌
taking out the washer shows how much you know about c stands!!!! sorry!
Non-IATSE guy.
So your opinion is not actually based on real use....at all.
