I'm currently in the process of applying for work and migrating to the UK. Since September last year I've been watching your content to gain insight and I must say your videos help alot. I can't wait till my application is successful and I receive an offer so that my daughter and I can start our new lives. Thank you for sharing all your experiences ❤.
Hi Nanelle, your videos are always so detailed and helpful. Thanks for another helpful video. I wish your son a successful british citizen application. ❤
Hi Nanelle regarding the letter of consent, the preform is supposed to be attached already at the end of your application (by H.O) as soon as you paid the application and all what you have to do is to download, fill and sign both of you.
@Nanelle, when you say subsequently any other kid you have gets the citizenship/passport automatically, does this mean there's no need to go through the visa application process? Just to go ahead and apply for a British passport for them since the parents are already permanent residents? Another question, is it true that one can now apply for permanent residence after living in the UK for just 3years.
@NanelleGriselda Hi Nanelle, please can I travel with my baby to London without Nigeria passport. I gave birth to her here , she has birth certificate but no passport yet.
Good detailed video. Thank you. I have a question, does the letter which you explained last from parents mandatory as we already signed the consent form? Please reply.
Hi Nanelle, your videos are very very informative. Thank you My question is i just got my ILR for spousal settlement 2 months ago. Is it possible for me to now apply for my British passport?
Yes but if your spouse was British before you got married then you can apply straight after ilr because spouse was British before you got married....however if your spouse was not British before you got married then you have to wait 12months after your ilr.
@Nanelle, thank you very much for your videos. I’m stuck at the address thing, my baby was born last year November and it’s asking for five years address history and I’m stuck, how did you pass?
Mi son got indefinite leave to enter when he arrived into the uk last year he was 1 year old now he is 2 years old do I need to to apply for naturalisation as I am British citizen and my wife also got indefinite leave to enter
Hello madam, I have following often and you always give the right information..but sorry to deviate from what you are saying but I want to ask ..As a nurse that wants to go through self sponsorship route ..Do I need /must to have a picture with the person that will accommodate me in UK ??
Good morning sis I love your videos so much. Thank you for your insight . My question is ,what of a child brought in as a dependent,if one of the parent gets ilr,can the child automatically apply for British citizenship?
Hello nanelle thank you for this!!! and congratulations. Please when can my spouse apply for ILR I am on a skilled worker visa does he have to wait for 5 years as well or more
Hey dear so if I have already got my ILR last year and I give birth this year will my child be qualified to apply for British passport straight away or I need to apply British citizenship for him?
Do we need to submit any address proof such as utility bills/council tax bills/bank statements etc as part of this application? I didnt see them asking for any of these when it comes to the application for kids. Thanks
What if i dont have any other evidence apart from his birth certificate? As he was just born recently. So not even a passport, he doesnt have for evidence, only birth certificate. Would that be just enough?
Thanks so much, pls help me is this same process with when a child’s one parent is a British citizen. Pls what is the process if one of the parents is a British citizen
Regarding indefinite leave. Because I changed employers several times I will still have 2 years on my visa when I click the 5 year mark for indefinite leave. My question is - Can I apply for ILR with 2 years left on the visa since am up to 5 years? - - incase the ILR is refused , can I continue staying with my remaining two years left on my visa or will applying for ILR cancel my already standing visa. Thanks
does the current visa need to be valid during this 6 mnth period ,as my kid visa expires in januay end and if it takes 6 mnths ,, its gonna be overstay ?
Hi how are you I saw vedio which is very helpful I have just a question if a child is born outside uk and moved to uk and spent 10 years and got ILR so when you apply for child naturalisation which form to fill online the one you did which is when child born in uk or it’s different for a child who born outside uk and living in uk and got ILR as well And if it is will you able to share link Thanks
Hi Nanelle, In the case that the child was not born in the UK, but has a parent who has achieved ILR or British citizen status, can you apply for citizenship for this child? Please advise. Thank you
If the child was not born in the UK but has a parent who has achieved Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) or British citizen status, the child may still be eligible to apply for British citizenship. You can apply for your child to become a British citizen if they were born either: - outside of the UK - inside the UK before you were granted indefinite leave to remain There are separate application procedures for children born in the UK and those born outside of the UK. If the child was born outside of the UK, you will need to apply for them to register for British citizenship under the registration or discretionary routes. To apply, you must complete the application form MN1 and provide the required documents, including the child's immigration history, your reasons for wanting to apply, and original documents such as a birth certificate and current passport. The child will not need to prove their English language ability or pass a Life in the UK test, but they will still need to meet the legal requirements for British citizenship. The application process involves providing biometric information (fingerprints and a photo) and supporting documents, which can be uploaded into the online service or scanned at a UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services (UKVCAS) appointment. You will also need to pay the application fee and, if the child turns 18 during the application process, you will need to pay £130 for the citizenship ceremony. It is important to note that under the nationality laws of some countries, a person may automatically lose their nationality if they become a citizen of another country. You should seek advice from the country of which the child is a citizen before making your application to understand the potential implications. For further information and advice, you may consider using the services of an immigration adviser registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC). @@Kav-ce4oz Thanks for the elaborate explanation, much appreciated. Please help me understand this the more, and I will put my enquiry in a scenario so as to help bring out the import of what i seek to know; Let assume am the UK on a skilled worker visa, which means after 5 years, I qualify to apply for ILR.... THEN After my third year of being in the country on the skilled worker visa, I bring my wife and kids as dependents... By my 5th year, when I qualify for ILR, the kids would have been living in the UK for 2 years... Now my question is; when I get the ILR status, can i apply for ILR and after citizenship for them even though they are just lived 2 years in the country?? For my wife I know she has to go through the 5-year pathway. My concern is the kids; is their eligibility for ILR AS KIDS BORN OUTSIDE THE UK TO A PARENT WHO HAS JUST ACHIEVED ILR NOT TIED TO A CONDITION TO BE LIVING IN THE UK FOR A CERTAIN NUMBER OF YEARS?? Or they can be born outside the UK and arrive in the UK 6 months before a parent achieves ILR and immediately makes them eligible for ILR and then citizenship?? Hope I was able to paint my thoughts to you.. And thanks for the reaponse
Wonderful video, thank you very much. I have some doubts if you can help me. My daughter is 8 months old, we are making the application for her because my husband now has the settlement. But my doubt is at the end of the application I don't know if you remember but before paying in the statement they ask if you are the candidate or the representative of the candidate I was in doubt about this as I the mother who is filling I have to say representative of the candidate or candidate?
The other question I have is about the document that parents have to fill out at the end they ask the child to fill in in case as my child does not write the mother to fill in by the child but in the case of the signature I fill in with my daughter's name anyway? Or do I have to say that she can't sign? Thanks ❤
Was your son dependent visa (BRP) still valid or expired at the time of this application? I believe he must have shared the same validity with your previous skilled work visa.
That's so weird that a child born in the UK isn't automatically a citizen. So,so weird..I wonder why the UK have that system because it doesn't make any sense.
