I like that they do the 25% off on their own websites because not everyone spends enuf at sephora to get the 20%. That way, everyone gets to save. Not just the bigger spenders.

It is also a way for the brands to make more money by selling direct since Sephora takes a cut from each purchase.

Totally agree. It's a little distracting when contact creators rush or apologize for going on for so long because it kind of takes you out of the video. I think because so many people prefer short-form content, longer form content creators get worried that they will "lose" us. But honestly if it's something I'm interested in, I will listen no matter how long a video is. I love having UA-cam videos on when I'm folding laundry and doing dishes etc and we'll always choose long form over short form.

I have an oily hair girl tip! This seems very backwards I know. I was definitely oily by the end of the day after a wash. So I used to wash my hair daily, or every 2nd day. This will sound TERRIFYING. I now wash it once to twice a week as advised by my friend who has the perfect hair! My hair is also lightened. It took about a month of having to deal with oily hair doing it but after that my hair adjusted and I haven't had oily hair since. In the last 2 years, it grows like crazy, is twice as thick. Doesn't break off and just looks and feels sooo much better. I pass on the challenge 😅😅😊 Adore you Rachel xxx

Exactly, people over wash their hair and then complain that it's oily. I recommend trying to pull through a month with washing the hair twice a week. It makes all the difference in the world for scalp health.

As an oily hair girl who didn’t benefit from the “don’t wash your hair and the oil will go away” method, I love Aveeno apple cider vinegar blend clarify and shine shampoo and conditioner. I can find it at my local grocery stores or on Amazon, and I can go every other day for a hair wash and no dry shampoo used at all

I had the same issue with hair loss after COVID….i went full nuclear with my hair after I kept loosing clumps and just buzzed my head…it’s been a couple months over 2 years since I did that my hair is down to my shoulders and I have cut it multiple times since then. Getting the weight off my roots really helped my hair come back thick and healthy and grow sooo quickly. I know it’s not for everyone but it was one of the most freeing and best things for my hair long term.

Girl, since having covid, I have experienced hair loss and thinning hair. I've tried so many products as well, from shampoo/conditioner, collagen, and biotin. I just started taking vitamins through Care of not just for my hair but also gut health, plus I got a shampoo that helps with growth, it's called Kevin Murphy plumping wash. I can't say if any of it's working yet because I literally just started, but I can definitely let you know in the next few months.

You mentioned a retinol eye stick, and I recalled that there has been some reporting that retinal near the eyes can damage the meibomian glands and cause dry eye syndrome. More studies need to be done, but you may want to be cautious. ❤

I’m going to say something controversial: I rarely shop at Sephora anymore. I only buy things that are exclusive to them. Otherwise, Ulta has much better sales and rewards and so do the individual brands. I think it’s kinda rude that they make discounts exclusive to only people who spend more, and I’m at the rouge level.

The ‘chemical’ in question with certain lash serums are prostaglandins, which are “a group of lipids with hormone-like actions that your body makes primarily at sites of tissue damage or infection. There are several different types of prostaglandins, and they play several essential roles in regulating bodily processes, including: Blood clot formation at the site of an injury.” So, basically a natural chemical compound. They can also permanently change the color of your iris to make them darker. Lash serums got crazy popular because they often take the same key ingredients from certain ophthalmic drops used to treat glaucoma. I was on several eye drops to manage my glaucoma when I was an infant/young child back in the late 90’s/early 00’s. My lashes got crazy thick and long, and my green eyes became a much, much darker, muddier green. I’m 27 now and haven’t been on any eye drops for glaucoma since 2002/2003 with thanks to a permanent shut implant, but my iris (I have one eye now; the other a prosthesis) is still that super deep muddy green color (really bummed about it, but if that means not losing my eyesight then I won’t complain much).

If you like the Givenchy Prisme Libre loose powder you would LOVE to know that they have the same formula in pressed compad and works exactly the same. It comes with a SO decent little brush enough for touch ups. So your T-Zone will be perfect not only 12h but even more time with a little touch up with the compact powder.
That and a Dior lip oil are the only 2 things I bring on my purse.

The only thing that helped my hair loss is Viviscal tabs and shilajit from Amazon. The combo has been phenomenal. My thick hair was falling and thinning so much from menopause but this combo has recovered it to 80% now. I'm shook!

Omg the Clarins lip oil 😭😭 I loved the feel of it but I could not stand the smell! It was so strong and lingered for over 30min. It gave me such a headache that I had to return it! I got the 3 sample pack and I would recommend as long as smell doesn’t bother you, but if you are sensitive to smell then run far away!

    Small comment:
There are products, that actually REALLY help with hair issues AND really work! Proven in studies.
BUT none of them are shampoos etc. you wash out! That is more or less nonsense.
The substances/ingredients that are effective, need to be applied and stay on your scalp for prolonged time.
Fun & entertaining video as always!
    Best wishes ❤

The Kerastase Genesis range is fantastic for hair fall and breakage. My hair is fine as well, it doesn’t weigh it down at all and it’s never felt healthier.

Is that the one that you tap on, comes in a cute lil pot? If so, I got it after Rachh recommended it a while back and LOVE IT. Literally the best dry shampoo I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot. Idk if my scalp loves it as much as I do, so I don’t use it a lot, but it’s less irritating than the other dry shampoos I've tried.

I love the little acne dots, uh I am old, ok. But I don’t understand why this technology wasn’t available for me 40 years ago. Would have changed my life. Love to see a Rachel post. Stop everything to go watch.

I went through the exact same hair story as you. One year later the thing I found that stopped my hair from snapping. Is a leave-in conditioner, I removed heat use on my hair and started to use curlers for volume, and if I did want to use heat it would be very very minimal. Minimal maybe three to four times a month. But honestly, the leave-in conditioner was what changed everything for me and it doesn't have to be an expensive one. I've used everything ranging from $17 CAD to $35 CAD. Last but not least, I started to use a protein mask once every two weeks. By the 3rd to 5th month I noticed my hair getting thicker no longer breaking and I still continue the same process. I have not stopped. But believe me, I feel for you. People don't realize how mentally and emotionally draining it is. There's also absolutely nothing. Just speed up the process.

I used to do hair and worked in places with bumble for a couple decades.
I wouldn't recommend someone with color and breakage use Sunday shampoo. Regular shampoo is able to get products out of your hair. Sunday really roughs the hair up. I'd only use that if a toner grabbed too much and I needed to remove it, before a color removing treatment or for someone with really short hair who uses really waxy hair product.
