When I asked for Doctor who to bring back K9 I didn't mean to decapitate him and mount him on the walls of the TARDIS
Careful what you wish for!
😂😂😂😂
It's a homage to Adric - and his first episode - in which K9 "lost his head" (literally)... still not over it!
@@WhoCulture Can someone explain how Sutekh manages to stay attached to the Tardis when it explodes in the Big Bang, gets locked on the other side of the cracks in the same episode and when the Tardis gets doubled in the Giggle, does Sutekh get doubled too? Could be a video idea: weird situations Sutekh would have been in while locked onto the Tardis...
@@EA_TheWatchman7 when the universe reforms the past has to reform too, so... It's possible that in the pre-explosion universe Sutekh hadn't survived, but then only when the universe was remade THAT was when Sutekh was able to survive... But I doubt it
19:34 Overlooks the fact that the cards in question are SEVEN and ACE.
Oh that's awesome, I hadn't noticed that!
BEST DUO
Nice catch!
Wow i didn't realise as well! Impressive!
Id like to advocate for a special episode for Ellie to show us all her River Song collectibles in one go 😊
I fully expected her to whip out a pair of red stilettos at the end 🤣
My heart soars whenever we get a reference to Handles every 8 years.
I know! Mine too! ❤
You missed the sixth doctor's waistcoat that was in 19:16, the checkered fabric next to the blanket, you ccan also see the buttons on it. That comes from one of Six's various waistcoats.
Leave it to Ellie to make sure the last item pointed out is a River Song item lol. There's something comforting about the fact that when it comes to the clothing in the memory TARDIS, it's all the Doctor's except for his wife's shoes and his father-in-law's poncho. I'm also so glad that Alex Kingston decided not to keep the shoes when they were offered to her, because they've now been an easter Egg multiple times.
19:45 the playing cards show 7 and Ace
Aka the 7th doctor and his companion ace
Wow! No wonder it took so long.
To be clear, I am not complaining. I knew it was going to take a Herculean effort, and I was not disappointed.
It looks like it was a ton of fun to make, which is only appropriate because it was extremely entertaining. Helps to bolster my belief that y'all have plans to fill the void until the Christmas Special. Looking forward to whatever you do.
Lots of good stuff coming! (Season 1 overall Ups & Downs this week 👀). Christmas will be here before we know it!
@@WhoCulture Oooo! I don't think I knew about the seasonal U&D. This is going to be good.
MAKE FAN-FICTION WHO EPISODES ANIMATED WITH CELEBRITY VOICE-OVERS CLASSIC MONSTERS CLASSIC COMPANIONS WACKY SITUATIONS AND STREAM OF THOUGHT WRITING YEAHHHHHOOOOOOO!!!!!! 😅😂😁
Imagine that drawer in your kitchen where you put all your random junk except it's a time machine.
Even if it wasn't a time machine.
Even if it was just bigger on the inside lol
I imagine they just went into the back room of the props department 😂
The yellow yo-yo was also used by the 4th Doctor, and there is a hilarious scene where he gives it to Leila and she tries to figure out what to do with it.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Memory TARDIS becomes the new picture for the "Continuity Cavalcade" trope.
They HAVE to start selling the little stuffed toys Rose Noble made. I really want that Ood.
Let’s not forget that the Thirteenth Doctor also wore the fez.
In Kablam! Wasn't that what came in the box?
If its Kerblam, we can definitely forget it 😂
Well, I definitely can now say now that I understand where all the competents in the memory tardis come from. Thank you
the toy tank is the tank 12 rode on in the magicians apprentice
That TARDIS key wasn't just used by the 7th and 8th Doctors. It also appears in Pyramids of Mars. Also, next to the yoyo are some chess pieces, which are like the ones the 7th Doctor uses in Curse of Fenric. The guitar is an Epiphone SG.
And you didn't open the door with it at that point, it was just a pendant.
Venus was also mentioned by the best companion ever, Wilfred Mott, in Partners in Crime
One thing you might have missed:
I believe that in the final scene in UNIT, the pizza boxes they're eating from are the ones from Torchwood
Good thing that they had so many sonic screw drivers on hand because the that TARDIS looks like it needed plenty of repairs at times.
I love how the Memory TARDIS’s door closing noise is first the classic noise and then the modern noise.
There are UA-cam videos about Easter eggs in tv shows and then there are the.WhoCulture Easter egg breakdowns. A whole different level of detail - amazing detective work by you guys - thanks.
I was about to leave UA-cam, guess I'll stay 20min more lol
Same haha I was so excited for this video and it was worth it! 🙈
I just have to say that they didn't just put the center of the 3rd Doctors TARDIS console. They put a model of the ENTIRE console on the ceiling, which I think is very impressive indeed. 😊
More repsect needs to be put on Handles and Sutekh two of the longest runnig companions not abandoning the doctor through tough times
And the TARDIS herself, of course, who is THE longest running companion.
@@sheersternfeld1914 there is one companion that has been with the doctor longer than the tardis and that is that creepy monster in the confession dial, that spent billions of years with the doctor! 😮
@@saturnblue actually, yeah, you're right.
Though, I don't think that character is considered a companion, given that they're the villain. In my opinion the Doctor's only companion in that episode was death. Like, the literal death, not Sutekh who was probably bored to death sitting in the TARDIS waiting for something interesting to happen.
@@sheersternfeld1914I love the idea of Sutekh sitting boooooooooored for 4billion (?) years While the Doctor went through that with it seeming like one day.
Serves him right!
Ellie, whispering: There's lots of them.
Me: Yeah sure.
Ellie: Number 81
Me: (O_O)
He could have a VW Beetle like the 8th Doctor had in the novels, as it was mentioned that it was in use for 50 years on either side of the millennium
It'd be funny if he's offered a Tesla, and be backs away nervously, never explaining why.
First, regarding K9's Head (and body I think we see that too in the Memory Tardis), The Doctor's hea dto rebuild him several times, so it's likely there'd be some spare parts no longer usable around his Tardis (likely in the Attic).
Secondly, YAY for the love for the 8th Doctor's Steampunk Tardis!
And lastly, can we just admit that the Memory Tardis is the Doctor's Garden Shed where all unwanted things go to gather dust, right?
Yes both Sarah Jane and Romana have versions of K9 ... who know how many are out there!
@EllieLittlechild, *you are my friend* because you mentioned how great Eight's TARDIS is--yes!!! THANKS!!!!
Big fans of that TARDIS round here!
Brilliant video! I’m happy they made reference to Bill Potts. She’s one of my favorite companions. I loved how she questioned the Doctor on everything! Wish we could have seen more of her.
Well done, WhoCulture! I very much enjoyed going through everything you found. Thank you for doing all that work!
15:31 I noticed that immediately and when I tell you I screamed!!! That's such a little detail but also so cool
Woah, I seriously appreciate the amount of work you've done on this one! Super impressive and very cool list, thank you (:
Amazing effort! You guys must have put so much work in to looking at every frame to find all of that stuff! Greatly appreciated! ❤❤❤
Where you mentioned Potts' school ID, behind it was John Smith's UNIT ID that the Doctor used
15:16 for number 29. That made me think, Sutekh was there to witness flux. He knew about the timeless child mystery and still was more interested in who Ruby's mum was 😂
He knows who the Timeless Child is though
He thought Ruby's mom was a potential threat
I appreciate how much time you put into breaking down the memory TARDIS frame by frame !
Wow you guys did well with this one. And what a great job by the set designers!
Vinders phone that is used in the power of the doctor is another that was revealed in BTS other than that very well done Ellie, Sean and the team!
And was first given to him in Once, Upon Time!
That was fun. Awesome job El!
One of those round things that fell out (along with the book you think is River Song's diary) looked like a Krynoid pod to me. Certainly a dangerous memory to have around. There are also a couple of other round things that are a little less distinct falling out at the same time. One could perhaps be an Auton sphere as it seemed a bit more transparent? Other possibilities are a small baby Wolfweed or a slightly rusted Yeti sphere? Difficult to tell.
I figured River’s shoes would be there. Since they were also one of the items displayed in UNIT I knew they just had to be here as well. But I couldn’t find them. So glad you did.
Imagine a Pting instead of a Slitheen head?
Great vid! ✨
I think when asking why anything is in the Tardis is quite simply addressed by the fact of it being a Remembered Tardis, they are all the memories of things good or bad. It is a construct of memories, it's not like someone put these things there and figured they'd hold onto it, but it's a custruct of memory.
21:12 Jelly Babies are most associated with the 4th Doctor, but they first appeared in "The Three Doctors" when the 2nd Doctor offered a Jelly Baby to The Brigadier or Sgt. Benton (I forget which).
Also the 8th Doctor offers a Jelly Baby to a police officer in the TV movie.
I believe the first appearance was in The Dominators. I may be wrong, could be just generic sweets.
@Tyrconnell You're right. I actually deleted my comment when I found that out, but YT put it back up! After weeks of randomly deleting my other comments!
I think YT is deliberately trying to drive me insane! But the joke's on them: I'm *already* insane! 🤪
@@maddenedgeek7726 They also gave one to the guy guarding the atomic clock.
The 8th Doctor also had jelly babies, he offered one to the policeman in the movie, and also offered one to the guy at the reception when he snagged his ID key card.
How much fun did the set designers have here and how extensive is the archive they had to draw from? Both very impressive.
I think those 2 chairs in the Tardis are a reference to Tales of the Tardis, which took place inside the memory Tardis. Also, the 13th doctor’s Tardis interior popping up in front of Ruby and 15 is also a reference to Tales of the Tardis. As you probably know, Tales of the Tardis is basically about 2 characters from Classic who whether it be 2 companions or the Doctor and a companion sitting and talking about going on the adventures they went on.
I love this video. You must have spent ages looking for everything. ❤
For a moment, I thought Sutek was going to be "The Beast" returned; especially when Harriet started rambling. It reminded me when one of the characters, with the 10th Doctor, started rambling before getting the marks on his face and possessed by The Beast.
Thank you for putting all this together I know it had to have been A LOT of work and time consuming. I was trying to find some myself but that whole tardis was kinda a mess and chaotic. I probably found like 5 of the things on this list lol
You know what I would say to 6:21 to 6:28, I would say “give the car to 14 since he’s not part of the show for now”
the yellow yoyo was more of a 4th doctor prop. He used it as many times as he used as often as he used his scarf as a measuring device.
this one was also missed but a small and not so easy to notice easter egg.
at 21:43 the chess pieces could be the once that the 4th doctor played with against k9 in the sun makers part 1.
I don't know for sure but could also refer to other games of chess the doctor has played around time.
is also in the background when the 12th doctor was a professor
This was great, thanks for everyone's hard work breaking it all down for us :)
19:48 think you forgot The Sixth Doctor’s waistcoat on the box. The waistcoat with teddy bear buttons that he wore during Trial Of A Timelord during the current day parts.
21:41 The spikey prop is the Atron Accelerator, which Curse of the Black Spot claimed was the equivilent to the TARDIS Steering Wheel.
Hi, i just wanted to say i love ur vids. You always make me happy i never feel disappointed by any videos of your i hope everyone at the who culture team has a wonderful week❤❤
That was fantastic! Thank you all for those easter eggs and trips down memory lanes. They brought so many smiles to my face.
At 11:25 you can also see the 9th, 10th and even 11th first tardis exterior phone which was used in empty child when it started to ring and saying mommy? are you my mommy? even though it wasn't a real phone or connected
The 8th Doctor's tardis has been the only one to absolutely nail the dimensionally transcendental feel to the ship. It really is bigger on the inside.
22:50 this puppet face immediately reminded me of the "ZERO" bad face from The Beast Below ... a bit too blurry to be sure though
The yo-yo was used by the 4th Doctor alot. I think it's in most of the episides from his era that I iwn on DVD (I'm Australian, so can only watch Classic Who that way). The 4th dr's poncho from his last season was also worn by 15 in this episode.
I just found the Easter egg that Rory said in the 11th doctor’s era “unless there’s 2 of them”
wow. Excellent video.
@Ellie @WhoCulture I think the creepy doll at 22:08 is the ventriloquist's dummy from The Talons of Weng-Chiang
Id like to mention that it actually looks like some parts of the interior was designed based off the comics. I know thats a lot but some of the more ridged walls and roundels look like they could’ve been part of maybe the season 27 interior too.
The reason that Ruby and the Doctor sitting on the floor is the connection with The Tales Of The TARDIS Pyramid Of Mars, Where thhe Doctor tells Ruby about him as The 4th Doctor Fighting Sutehk with Sarah Jane Smith.
I would just like to say, this is my favourite video on your channel and it makes me feel the nostalgia from the past and it feels good
FEZZES ARE COOL
Absolutely ❤
Why do I get the feeling that you’re trying to convince us that you’re secretly River Song
I was a bit sad having to wait for a part 2 easter egg breakdown... but the extra time and effort was 10000% worth the wait! :D Thank you for diving so deep!
credit where credit is due, an incredible job to you and sean on finding all of them, watched the ep 3 times and still i missed half of them
mel looking a the 6th doctors coat : "still smells like vervoid kush all these years later"
Ellie looks so good here like she always does❤❤❤
Very weird how Rivers sonic just randomly showed up on ur desk one day! 😂
I thought the doll looked like Mr Sin, from The Talons of Weng Chiang - but perhaps that is too gruesome a memory…
I think the tank is in reference to when Peter capaldi's doctor rode a tank whilst playing his guitar
10:46 "The Red Variant" is a modified Epiphone G-400, the other "white variant" is a Yamaha SGV-800 called a Black Sparkle.
Now I could be just seeing patterns in things that aren't there, but don't some of those monitors look like 70s UNIT TV monitors?
I love the Memory Tardis but how does it work? It’s a real Tardis but people can magically appear in it, you see in TOTT that the classic doctors fly it, what happens when someone else magically appears
10:18 the remembered that yaz was a officer more than chibs era
Wasn't there also a spooky doll in "The Talons of Weng Shiang" a Tom Baker storyline?
Keep up the amazing work ellie! Its good seeing you everyday!
Is that the 3rd Doctor's time rotor on the ceiling?? Looks more orangey and the upside-down ceiling mounted console is the late 4th/ early 5th Doctor's console...
There is a person who has a Bessie and lives a mere 13 miles from Bad Wolf Studios. ME! And I have a set of WHO 1 plates for the old girl...
those playing cards on the shelf were a seven and an ace!
Remembered tardis easter eggs are so cool, always nice when theres refrences to things in doctor whos past. That campfire like thing of the thirteenth doctors interior of the tarids is cool, eight doctors tardis interior gets a refrence aswell its such a underrated tardis interior wish we could have seen it more.
19:09 one thing I haven't anyone mention is that in that there's also one of 6's vests laying there, right next to the blanket
Appreciate the effort that goes in to making these episodes 👍🏻
The watch could also be from the 10th doctor since he also stored his memories in one
Fantastic list and well done everyone for the dedication and time put into it.
I noticed that Bill’s uni ID also had the Truth logo from the Monks on the bottom right.
2:18 Nice!
Thank you for your hard work love all the videos 🙏
Are the coloured balls perhaps cricket balls that the 5th Doctor would carry around?
You really do take your Easter
Egg hunting VERY seriously!!
Another information and wonderful episode, thanks Ellie !
One question I still have after this season ended, is who is "the boss" the meep mentioned? Is the meep also referring to sutekh like the toymaker and the maestro did, or is this a different character we haven't seen yet?
Think its smth to do with S2 or S3 maybe mrs flood
Last one. In 18:19 to 18:21. I don’t think it was just splitting the tardis but also splitting sutek into 2
There was also a jelly baby in A Good Man Goes to War 😉
That’s terrible! 😂🤣
It took a moment to understand but now I want to cry.
@@Kuyjac258 I'm sorry 😂
at the end of Silence in the Library the docter leaves river's dairy at the library
“I love the round things”. “What are they”. “No idea”.
-tenth and the eleventh doctor speaking
i just wanna say you are awesome🥰
