Hey Dream Gurl! You sure do sound like Dr Evil when talking about Broadcom's Revenue ;-) When I was working I used a lot of Broadcom chips in my IBM solutions. My goal this next year is to continue to invest in Technical stocks with a focus on Crypto, Quantum Computing and AI. Cheers!
I own only 453, just short of you. I've been so excited about the big jump. Bought most of these shares back in 2020. Thanks for the info. I learned something new today.
I was lucky enough to start picking up Broadcom when it was a high yielding value stock. Other than rebalancing if it runs way way up I cannot imagining selling anytime soon. There is the of course "i wish i had more" 😂 It is still part of my portfolio i DCA into weekly but I cannot see picking up any more soon since it is my M1 account and it is over target. Darn.
I own AVGO. Too overvalued right now. This can crash 50-60% when the AI bubble bursts. Average P/FCF for AVGO is 16. It is 52 now. Average P/E is about 50. It is 174 now. Average P/S is 9. It is 20 now. Everything screams overvaluation. If you want to trade AVGO, you still can buy now since its momentum is still projecting upwards. Probably not a good buy now for long term investing. Priced to perfection with several years of future growth already priced in
I’m new to investing. If your dividend stock goes up 11% and pays 4% does that mean a total return of 15%? How are returns calculated for dividends vs normal stocks?
Total Return is always the goal: - Determine the capital gains, which is the difference between the current price and the original price of the stock - Add up any dividends or other distributions paid out over the holding period - Add the capital gains to the dividends to get the total return as a dollar amount
@ Thanks for the reply! I really appreciate you and your content. I assumed this is how it worked but couldn’t really find a video that explained that part. I am sitting on a pretty sizable amount of crypto. After I cash out I’m thinking of doing a portfolio of 34% qqqm, 33% voo and 33% schd.
