  • Welcome back to our 2023 Scooter Cannonball Run trip! This ride footage is between Globe, AZ and Temecula, CA. It's a raw editing timeline from my helmet camera that hasn't been edited for content or length. Skip around with the chapter markers below.
    This video will be chopped down and combined with other camera footage, GPS overlays, and other trip content in the "production" video. Let me know if you have any suggestions for content or camera angles and I'll try to incorporate those into this video or subsequent episodes in the series. Cheers! 😉👍

    i just got a little 2 wheel bicycle trailer. that i plan on pulling behind my bikes. but i need to find a small motorcycle tires and wheels to be able to make long trips with. you talking about being in the same cloths i can do that also no trouble but i cannot do that with socks. lets say i make a 7 day trip i will have a 12 pack of socks.

      The important thing is to have high-speed wheel bearings and DOT-rated tires that can withstand prolonged highway speeds without disintegrating. 😉👍 --QM

      Yes you are! I haven't advertised this channel very much, so views and subs are still low. I might plug it in a few upcoming vlogs to see if people are interested in the raw videos. 😉👍 --QM

    When you added your total load out weight you forgot to add the weight of your gas can 20 lb . 90- 100 lbs total.

    Wondering what kind of throttle lock you are using.

    • @QuasiRAW
      @QuasiRAW  11 місяців тому

      That's the Go Cruise 7/8" throttle lock: amzn.to/3L1LipK . They're cheap and work amazingly well. I like these better than the Cramp Buster (palm lever) style because you can completely remove your hand from the throttle. 😉👍

    The variator was shitting the bed way before it actually shit the bed.

      💯 Yessir... it had been misbehaving for a long time, but the nature of the failure was hard to figure out because it was intermittent and progressively got worse. The failing rear torque drive was at least 50% of the problem, and it probably accelerated the variator wear and subsequent failure. 😉👍 --QM

    I like your pcx videos because I have one and I’m moving to Seattle from Texas on my pcx later this month. Lol watching you not split lanes in traffic was annoying me tho . You kinda drive like a dad slow and behind traffic

    • @QuasiMotard
      @QuasiMotard 11 місяців тому

      Lane splitting isn't legal anywhere except California, and it's potentially deadly in Texas where the cagers will actively try to kill you for splitting. I'd rather arrive alive and without tattoos or tickets. --QM

      @@QuasiMotard They will actively try to kill you in California for lane splitting as well. SUVs and work trucks are the worst

    Are those scooters electric fuel pump?

    • @QuasiRAW
      @QuasiRAW  4 місяці тому +1

      Yes, they are all fuel-injected engines with electric fuel pumps. 😉👍 --QM

      It was routinely able to get 72-74 MPH with the Dr.Pulley performance variator and sliders. Unfortunately, that variator wasn't very durable and failed after about 10K miles (total) as I was crossing the Mojave Desert on Day 1 of the Scooter Cannonball. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

      Yep... tell that to those homicidal 18-wheelers that are blasting down the highway at 85+ mph! 🤣
