- We need a regula to get through the day. Prayer, spiritual reading, mental prayer, when to get up, when to go to bed, etc. How do we do this? What about spiritual direction?

I love all of your talks, insights and benefit greatly from them even after 37 years of priestly life. I ask God to abundantly bless you in your apostolates. Thank you.
Thank you Fr David M Chiantella...
This priest has been such a beacon for my Catholicism. I thank you for your vocation. We sure do need holy priests.
Fr Rippegers' video on our Lady of Sorrows saved acquaintances' marriage. Fr Rippeger should be the pope.
Ask for his rosary or a piece of his vestment, something....it’ll be a relic

Same here! One day he will be St. Ripperger, for saving so many souls.
I would love him as our Pope...yes please!
He indeed has filled in the missing details Catholics deserve to know for our salvation that we dont get from our parishes. Truth with no chaser!
I listen to Father Ripperger😮 at night when I go to bed.
As a new Catholic I really like your videos. It's like going to Catholic class 🤗🙏❤
It's actually quite advanced stuff.

Very!!! So grateful for Fr Ripperger
Every time I watch one of his videos, it’s another list of sins I have to take to confession. It’s getting harder 😅 but totally worth it, especially for the sake of my young children. Thank you Fr Ripperger 🙏🏼
Just do it! I chose a high level ranking priest for my confession as I had fallen away. I am putting myself through this so I don't slouch again! Just go! ❤🙏🏻
This is a tall order for most Catholics today. I'm just being real. Many are not even close to being this formed. If you are, that's great - but if you are not don't despair. It takes time and effort to get to this. Think of it like this - MOST people don't go to the gym and lift 300 lbs/130 kg. or run 3 miles. You work UP to this. Just work out each day - but one of the most useful things here was a structured life and put prayer into that life. Everyday. Try to say the Rosary and you can start just by doing a decade one hour and another a later hour until it is completed. Do a cursory examine of conscience before bed at the end of the day. Keep a note of it - this helps for confession too. BTW go to confession monthly, too. Pray in front of Blessed Sacrament once a week in addition to Mass. But wherever you are start somewhere and work at it - be patient with yourself but truly trying to have a relationship with God.
This should be instituted in seminaries as to how to form Catholic families. Never heard a talk like this and I raised 4sons and have 8 grandchildren. I put them in parochial school and hoped for the best. So much more was needed.
I am having interesting experiences this year, every time I ask God a question, he replies through Fr. Ripperger and other spiritual leaders within one day or within couple days. And I started praying once a day, now twice a day. Being consistent in praying is very important, as well understanding importance of the prayer.

Father Ripperger, you are definitely one of my most favorite Priests. May our Lord and Blessed Virgin Mary bless you and keep you safe.

TradCat, I like that title, can I adopt it?
And yes we’re so blessed to have the privilege of listening to such spiritual director.🙏
Is a tradcat more pius than an ordinary cat?
This is gold. As a mom with young children right now I found this incredibly helpful, I’ve been trying to figure out what my daily life should look like and this talk has some wonderful advice.
Fr Ripperger's videos are always excellent. Not one ive listened to was unworthy of not only the time to listen, but of serious reflection

This teaching is priceless. I have a daily prayer life but also spend a lot of time on spiritual learning such that I end up staying up late and then waking up late. During the week I have to work so I cant focus on spiritual learning and prayer until after work, which is why I end up staying up late.
A priest told me that this pattern can be a way for the enemy to get us to sin.
So glad that the next life we will get to spend all of our time with the Lord and not on our mundane work and activities.
I’m right there with you!

My grandfather used to say that !

Don’t be so full of pride that you pass off like a simpleton. Dedication, commitment to prayer for strength and humility through this life of suffering-that is a start. Anything worthwhile is full of roadblocks in this life, but Jesus promises that he will not leave us alone.

Difficult If you work shift work..But still inspiring & helpful.
I was much healthier in every way before I got laid off. Now, I'm working for a temp agency with mostly 0 hour jobs. I can be called literally at any time, for any shift, part of shift, double shift at any one of a dozen or more locations. My only rules right now are no junk food, Rosary at least once in every 24 hours, sleep comes over food.
Marie, I will pray for you..you want to open a coffee shop?
Marie,
From personal experience: Pray and allow God to work. Give Him time, for God is putting together what you are praying for. Do not despair, nor lose hope, nor give up praying.
God will answer you in His time and in His divine way. I assure you that our Father in Heaven will reward your faith, as He did in my case.

@Arizona Willful, I am unable to find your comment but hopefully you see this. My reason for taking a vow of chastity in this world where so few people practice chastity is to say to God, and the world, that I remain chaste, not because I am required to remain chaste, but also to say I choose to remain chaste, much the way a nun or priest takes such a vow. It was part of my choice to follow a very specific way of life, a way of prayer and decisions on certain activities. It brought me much closer to the Lord, and helped me to give myself over to God's will for me. As it turned out it also strengthened my faith for the difficulties which were to come, and which have continued for many years. Choosing to join my will to God's in one area of my life helps me to choose to join more of my will to God's as I move through life. Have you not listened to this talk by Father?
Currently seriously considering the positions of SSPX and could really use a spiritual director to help me through it - unfortunately I grew up in a Novus Ordo Parish and family who are all "fans" of V2 thinking, and thus do not take kindly to my criticisms, even though all I'm really after is an argument or rebuttal against my objections.. My own feelings would have me deny V2 in a heartbeat and flee for reverent liturgy and the SSPX, in hopes that the Church will one day reform its reform and return to tradition. Only thing holding me back is the binding authority of the Church and the councils.... I despise the fruits of V2 and all the damage it brought about.
It's a terrible situation.
The Vatican allows the faithful to attend SSPX Masses in appreciation for the liturgy only and we can't have a schismatic mindset when going. I was in the same place as well but my conscience tells me that I should follow the Holy Father in obedience. Here's some resources to help you out with this. canonlawmadeeasy.com/2011/10/05/canon-law-and-the-sspx/

Question: I pray the short version of the total consecration to Mary with my kids in front of the tabernacle almost every Sunday. Should my kids not be praying this since it needs to be done voluntarily?
Also, is the consecration to the Sacred Heart a vow?
Lastly, did Father Ripperger advice not to obligate teenagers to pray the family rosary and other prayers so that they can choose on their own will? I'm asking because I currently have a teen who does not want to go to Mass or pray the family rosary.
My mom made me go to church, and I am grateful for that. She would also take me on visits to beautiful, architecturally traditional churches that were stunning. One day she took me to a Carmelite church, and that's where God got me.

I took a private vow of chastity years ago, for 1 year, with my spiritual director, and it went very well, but I was required to have permission of our bishop. A couple of months later the bishop retired and a new one came from Pennsylvania. At the end of my year I decided to take the vow for one more year, and again I was required to have the bishop's permission. This new bishop told me that as a single woman chastity was required anyway so he refused. I tried to explain why I wanted to take the vow but he wouldn't listen. Was there something different I should have done? I no longer had a director because he'd been sent to Rome, so I asked about a director and the bishop sent me to his housekeeper, who was a nun, and the former housekeeper of Cardinal Bernardin from before he became a cardinal. She knew nothing about direction. How does one know who to trust? My first director is now a wonderful Archbishop.
It’s possible that the Bishop is jealous of your former spiritual director and is taking it out on you. Just make the vow to the LORD at Adoration and keep it. To me that’s a more powerful vow 🙏🏻
@@lawrencekeenan9234 thank you. I have done so since I live in a different place and far away from any bishop I know personally. I appreciate the fact that you understand. God bless you.

The Love of God is not something that comes through habit, it is POURED into our hearts. It comes through true conversion when receiving a new ❤.
The secret was clipped off of Adam just before his fall and eventually became a part of the arc of the covenant. That was claimed by St. Heli who passed it to St. Ann as they met each other in a tunnel leading to the Jerusalem temple. St Ann passed it to Holy Mary who passed it to Jesus. Apparently it restored those aspects that were lost to mankind to all who had it, even going back to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Where can I go to one of your conferences? You have a tremendous gift of sharing the faith in a simple manner for us regular Catholic folks.
Fr Ripperger Thanks for your guidance. What are the rules of vows of silence?
Great advice Father. Can the Liturgy of the hour replace the prayers you suggested? Also is one day of fasting enough or should there be an additional day? I took a vow to fast every Friday until the day I am gone And I sing the Divine Mercy prayer in Church on Mondays and Fridays at 3:00pm and some mental prayers at any hour of the day. Should there be a specific time for the later?
Please if you could let me know in advance when you are having these gatherings I would greatly appreciate it. By the grace of God I would like to attend and I thank you advance.
May God bless and protect you Father Ripperger.

"If you wake up after the dawn, you might as well go back to bed because you missed the day"
Thats an old Farmers axiom, of which I hold as a powerful truth in regards to our natures. I have found that the later in the day I start my work, the more difficult it is to even get started - and in regards to big projects - forget it, it just won;t happen. Just shut off the lights and go back to bed.

That’s basically a vow against committing heresy. Not sure if it’s the same thing.

Where is the end music taken from?
I prayed upon these words and pondered a question - what is it called when you are in constant contact and prayer with GOD - where in life, even in living and doing there is no separation. Where you hear and communicate at all times with the heavens above? Where human may be needed as a voice in delivery but truth and ultimate guidance comes from prayer and heaven alone? What is the name for this?
Is there any way to contact this priest ( serious stuff) via email?
My daughter with asperger syndrome have no moral compass at 12 years old. I did all I can spiritually but to no avail.
I taught my 2 autistic boys how to pray the rosary and they memorized the whole rosary and Chaplet by heart, and I also have them read the Bible and talk about it, just that can help them growing
Does anyone know what Fr. Ripperger is saying in his opening prayer? "...Every prayer and work of ours may begin from thee and be thee (BLANK) to Christ our Lord."
Hey, so I have a question. No sure if Fr. Ripperger reads these comments, but if someone who knows how to reach him could get this to him, I would be greatly appreciative! My question is how could someone living with their family establish a rule of life around their schedules? I share a room with 3 of my sisters and setting an alarm to wake up and prayer is not very considerate of them (ask me how I know...). Also, I cannot go to bed at a consistent time every night because my family prays the rosary at different times depending on the night. It would also be very difficult for me to say any prayers before bed since we're all going to bed around the same time and it wouldn't be very charitable to keep my siblings awake for an extra 15 minutes to pray. Also, the car situation is limited, so it might not always be possible for me to go to daily mass or adoration once a week. Do you have any advice for how to combat these issues?
I pray the Rosary on the way to work and on the way home. Two reasons, one being the need to control my temper and the other to thank GOD . Whatever time you have every day , whether brushing your teeth, showering, etc. You don’t need to get on knees , hands folded , eyes closed when you pray. If you love someone then you make time for them 🙏🏻
@@lawrencekeenan9234 Good point. I suppose I might just be making excuses...I'll just jam on it and really carve out some time to pray...Thanks! Sometimes all you need is a little shove in the right direction!
You work with what you have. You're right to not want to sacrifice charity by imposing unreasonably on those you live with. Do what you can and develop it over time.
