@@didafm I am six months in on my new '19. Got it with ~70 miles and have done about 9,400 miles since. No problems other than creaking around drivers door speaker grille and some wind noise around drivers window at high speeds. Both of which are covered under warranty.
From what I learned from all those tests. The three cars stock with a proper launch in normal road situations (not drag strips) the time would be around: X3M 11.8, X6M 11.6 (not M50i though), Rs3: 12.2 (just slightly slower than Rs4/5)

Higher octane would only make a difference if the octane isn’t sufficient for the tune. Eg.... running OTS 98 tune and getting alot of timing corrections.... add 4ltrs E85 then it would definitely work. Although if running OTS 98 tune and 98 fuel is good and no corrections then e85 would not help.

I'll be anxious to see your results on dedicated octane testing in modern cars. A lot of people say it won't matter, but then in real life, it seems like there is a noticeable difference.
The zl1 is a top performance car. X3M is a beast, and the competition pack adds just enough power for a 0.2 sec better 1/4 mile time. With a tune, X3M and X3MC make exactly the same hp and torque. The only problem with this SAV is the weight. It is a luxury vehicle with all safety, bells and whistles.

So the RS3 was stock except for the 4 gallons of E85 that was dumped into it. Because the last time we did the RS3, it was on straight 93, so I wanted to know how much of a difference it would make with proper fueling. The RS3 did a crazy job on the dig. And yes, I think I’ve been aiming too high with the X6M50. I’m gonna have to put it up against a slightly slower class of cars (Mustang GTs/V8 Chargers/Camaro SS’s). I wish the camera captured the hand gesture but I don’t think it would’ve been YT appropriate lol (but yeah I was doing a two hand flip). Glad you enjoyed this one!

Several runs seemed not well coordinated with inconsistent reaction times. Would be nice to double down on that for ‘scientific’ measures. Also, please give 0-60 times of all contenders extracted from the recorded race.

Yes, I did do my oil change the night before, not because I wanted to run some magical racing oil so I could get a few extra horsepower (something typical of the average boyracer in a Honda), but because I was preparing for a new job about 4 states away in a few days. I showed up to the airport and was immediately conscripted to help, not that it was much help but hey I'm there to hang with my buddy and have a good time. Later I did a few runs down the strip and caught the dreaded CEL. Code said Lean Condition Bank 1.... as we all know lean conditions on a turbo car is a bad time. I immediately started freaking out because as I said I have a fucking job to go to in a few days and the last thing any responsible person should be doing is abusing their only mode of transportation so I suppose this is my punishment. I checked under the hood and found the oil cap was gone. Well fuck, I dun goofed. Odd of me to leave the cap off but I guess I finally did something monumentally stupid at just the right time. I told you I had a problem with the car and I promptly left to try and solve it. I managed to find an oil cap at a Pepboys 20 minutes down the road...and then I came back. I did not go home and cry like a little bitch, I fucking came back and thought all was good because I was there to hang out with my friends. Turns out the oil cap was not the problem, and turns out I didn't actually leave it at home like I had presumed. The factory oil cap is no where to be found. I'll chalk it up to leaving it on too loosely and coming off during the drive to Princeton. Still my fault but that's okay with me. With all that said, the actual problem was a blown gasket on the downpipe causing the car to think it's running lean and therefore dump excessive fuel into the engine. I don't think it would have changed the results of the race but it was still not an ideal situation. Here's my problem though: this feels like an unnecessary personal attack on me. I'm not really sure why you thought I'd be okay with this but it's your channel so whatever. However, your audience doesn't know how we bust balls. Your audience doesn't know how long we've been friends. Your audience doesn't know how you had to get an automatic Vette because you blew the engine in the manual twice from missed shifts...or was it once? I don't know but I remember the excuses being made about how the automatics are faster and blah blah blah....when you could just say "I can't drive". What's my point? You're not addressing your audience over a long standing recurring member of your team, you're speaking directly to me but in a less respectful and impersonal way. I honestly expected a little bit more from you but this isn't the only time you've been an asshole. Hell you could have left the whole thing out entirely until there was a better time or whatever, but instead I'm left to defend myself over an unrecorded event that is being displayed out of context and on top of that you used my name. That last bit doesn't bother me that much but these days you should be a little more cautious with who's name you put on the internet, especially if it's for the purposes of making them look like an idiot.
I didn't get the impression it was a personal attack on you. It was an attack on the Focus RS, which is def not as good as believed. They stop making things for a reason.

Also it only affected a small percentage of vehicles. Regardless, if you think a recall that was instituted AFTER production ended is what caused them to shelve a "Limited production" car then you are just wrong. Ford stated from the beginning it would be a 2 year run, that's it.
I always wondered the same. A few practice run ups should do it no? Find a gentle constant acceleration curve that everyone can follow up to the starting speed.
You need to get some EVs in the drag races. May not do that well in the high end on your runways, but they'll definitely get a good jump of the launch.

damn the X6 is way slower than E63S Wagon and RS6 and has more power than both and less space.
A proper E30 mix on the RS3 would have been a really close race with a stock X3M Comp.

Yeah, E85 in the RS3 with the tunes is magic gas. All day mid 10s and high 9s stripped. So it got a taste of that nice alky. The 2.5 likes it.

A lot depends if the engine can adjust or not.
I did a 30 and 60 roll with my 6gen zl1 6mt against a X3M C with a tune and both time we were neck to neck till 150mph 😂
