Great video, Rod. I have stayed in this building a number of times, it is certainly in a quiet area of the city. That area in general of Samar Loop along with Park Tower 1, I found to be one of the quieter areas in the city. The infinity pool was amazing indeed. Excellent view of the city from the backside of that condo building. I really liked the proximity to Ayala mall, a nice walk of less than 10 minutes. Thanks again for another great condo video! I hope all has been well with you.
Parking alone in the Ayala area goes for 5000/month so it's fair to think of this as a 30k unit. I stayed at Calyx my first week in Cebu and it was very nice! The location and view make it a prime condo. The only issue is the backside is next to rooster territory (look for the tin roofs) so it's best to rent on the front side. It's a short walk to Ayala mall making the location a big plus!
Nice video, Rod. I continue to be perplexed that pool areas in the Philippines don't account for proper shade and seat comfort with cushions. The average Filipina does not want to sit in the sun. :)
35k overpriced I’d say, especially with all those sunlight during the day your aircon will be running 24/7 which will bring electric bill to a minimum 10k so for 50k all inclusive it’s way too much to pay for a studio imo.
Agreed PI continues its tendency of being an over-valuated canard. Airbnb/hotel is the only bet for anyone not retiring. Most people see themselves out faster than a monthly lease and even a 3 month lease is brutality. The only way to truly do SE Asia is always flying... Pack light and dont bother trying to set roots ever
I have zero budget, pls show rentals for people w/ zero budget plz. 😂 That's a very nice unit. Imagine, very close walking distance to ayala mall cebu business park, the vast metro supermarket and the ok rustans supermarket for international goods. That owner picked a good location.
Thats too small for 22 sq meter to rent with balcony Mine is 32 sq meter with balcony in Guadalupe for just 12k a month and the other two doors apart from me is paying 16k plus the amenities is 1,920 a month with the same size as my unit and its furnished as well
@@AmazingPhilippines1 thats good the parking cost 2500 a month. I realized after moving in to a condo unit last 3 weeks ago , which is too small compared to my 540 sq ft living for 8 years in my apartment prior moving to Philippines , its better to buy a townhouse or a house in a gated community. My location is ok and its very quiet area because theres no engine noise besides the building is only up to 8th floors and im on the second floor which is not to high when earthquake strikes Cebu city. I understand its an individual choices but im looking to find a bigger place since i moved here with an indefinite time with having RA9225 marked on my US passport so i have the privilege to live here with a US pension to survive. I don’t need a car because everything is accessible although i already have a Philippines driver’s license last week
that is way too expensive. calyx is nice, especially how quiet it is and the pool. pldt also regularly cut out during my 3x staying in different airbnbs tehre so far.

Rod, we stayed in this building in an AirBNB 2022. One of our favorite places. And yes, the pool is to die for.
Thanks for sharing your experience. This is one of my favorites also.
That place looks so welcoming. Luxurious living at it's finest.
One of my favorites Rick.
Good video Rod. I really like that huge floor fan. Take care.
Thanks 👍Robert. One of my favorites.

Thanks for the info Roger. Yes, nice area and building.
Thanks for the video, Rod...Jim
You are very welcome Jim.
Nice condo, especially the balcony. A reasonable price for what you get.
This is one of my favorite condos John. Great location, pool, gym, and view.
Nice size, well furnished, good price and that pool is just spectacular
Yes, love the view Peter.
nice.....fair numbers.....thumbs up rod......
Thanks 👍MrMunjacake.

Good points Gary.

I agree, I do not want to sit in the sun either and many have little shade available.
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the visit James.
i like it rod for the price its worth it, the parking space is the kicker.
I agree Tobias. Great location, amenities, view, and more.
I really like Rod’s condo videos to the point , when I do finalize everything and get there l would like for your help for my 1st rental
Thanks. My email is AmazingPhilippinesdoitnow@gmail.com
Rod you should become a real estate agent …. You are good at showing these living spaces …. Ha!
LOL! That sounds like work Tom.
With condo dues and parking its a reasonable value. Ayala Mall has really dried up, so I prefer IT Park area, but to each his own.
IT Park has its advantages also. I think he manages 16 units in Avida.
Rod, trying to get my Geography down: at 2:07... Your are looking over the Hippodromo neighborhood towards the Mactan Strait?
I believe that is correct Ted.

How much are they asking?
35K includes a parking space and condo dues. Contact info in the description.
Rod how far is that from Doris job on A S. Fortuna ?first class videos!
This is next to Ayala mall in Cebu City so a bit over to A S Fortuna in Mandaue City Eric.
passport soon….keep ideas coming, they are appreciated.
Be very careful dealing with agents, have heard many horror stories in metro manila only. Never in Cebu City.
Crazy price. A 200sqm house is cheaper.
True, but many prefer a condo Derek.
Many aren`t aware of all the restrictions until they move in. Worth mentioning all that nonsense (visitors, deliveries etc)
People ask can you stay anywhere for 1000 dollars a have never paid that much to stay anywhere
Their target audience is not someone already in the PH, rather someone coming from abroad.
do people not realise that 5% is the mean income/capitol value? thats a 140,000 usd studio in a 3rd world country? no way that is a 140k appartment
They're advertising to people outside the PH who have no idea of the prices in the PH.
There are people with the money who buy for a number of reasons and Calyx ticks a lot of boxes in what will make many happy Julian.

I think this is 26 sq meters but not positive. Location is important and it includes a parking spot.

I would not let any kids on that roof deck.
That is a good point.

I did quite a bit of research on prices and it seems to be reasonable considering it includes a parking space.
