This was helpful to get my old hex nut Pony Web clamps back in commission. Thank you! I especially liked the part that said to use any picky thing to pull the strap through. :)
Thank you Phill for showing how to get the Pony Band Clamp started. It's been many years since I used the ones I have and I couldn't recall for sure how to string the strap thru the "thingy" and I was ok with my thought of how to, but I lacked the picky thingy lol. Thanx big guy!

Hello friend, Unless you try the innovations, you cannot learn something new. And you are always working to teach innovations. And you always produce innovative studies and ideas. Thank you for sharing. See you. greetings.
i had an older model of the PONY band clamp - the only difference being, that instead of an attached ratchet handle, it has a hex head and comes with a small set wrench to tighten with. i also found i have a slightly longer same width set wrench that works even better. it is a great clamp, very versatile and useful. unfortunately, someone stole it, and i bought the IRWIN one in a hardware store. the IRWIN tightened up great, but getting it to open again, was impossible, and i ended up having to call someone to help me. i was hoping to see a review or hints on how to use that one.
when the strap comes off the ratchet part, how do you re-attach it? (Mine is an older version, the Style 12, which has a nut rather than the ratcheting handle, and the bar which ratchets is solid with two flat faces but no slot in the var)
I don’t know the older version at all. PJ’s relatively new down here in Australia, experiment I guess. I’m sure you could probably find an older video on YT here explaining it in greater detail.
@@schinbeindrumco slowly Phil. I once tried to grow a beard and I got a moustache. Drumming is good! I’m an elementary music teacher, so I get to practice while I work!

It is important to apply the correct pressure when strapping on.
Oh man lmao 😂
What’s your safe word James?
@@schinbeindrumco not 'Pony-jorgenson' ...that's for sure!
Very Handy bit of kit, I have an old Bessey strap clamp that's got a huge monstrosity hanging off the end.
Yeah man, and plastic guts...
Very cool! Best of both worlds
Yeah man, totally.
Came here looking for troubleshooting. Mine isn’t working. Trying to figure out why
What’s the problem that you’re having? Have you tried emailing Pony directly?
Good job Phil. Looks like a top clamp 😀
It really is. I’ve bought three of them so far. I’ll definitely get more.
Also, your sticker is on the toolbox right above Mark’s but for some reason it’s falling down. :( 2P10 to the rescue!!)
Looks like a great strap...great info here...you say "right?" a lot.
I know, right? :) Thanks.

Damn good review! I will buy 1000 of them!
Is the pony the right way up or upside down?
Nice video Phil! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Ira, how goes the drumming? Are we the same person yet?
