Yay! Yayyyyy! Congratulations Gwen! I am SO happy that you had a positive birth experience! I too had to be induced (after being 12 days late😢) with baby numbers 4! It was very new and scary for me and it's so hard making or should I say, agreeing to the induction decision! But SO happy you got to experience pushing and you and baby are healthy and home!! Praise God!
I’m happy too overall because there was a split moment where they talked about “other options” if things didn’t progress so I’m glad I got to push him out 😊

Halleluyah! Praise YHWH for your son. God's timing is always perfect. My newest son was born early too, but there was such beauty in the day he arrived. I'm so happy you advocated for what *you* wanted done with your body. I did the same thing with the medical team, and I was happy with how things turned out when I stood up for myself. You'll never regret being your own advocate. Also, I 100% support your choice of not showing your son. Protect him and keep these moments scared between your family. Have a blessed recovery, and may YHWH and His Holy Spirit carry you during the post parturm period. 🙏🏾🤱🏾👶🏽🩵
Thank you for sharing your birth story, there is so much there that I can relate to!! God is so faithful and I am so happy for you and your lovely family! Welcome baby boy!! 🎉
CONGRATULATION!S!! I am in NO way trying to tell you to show your baby. I am only saying this because you said you might in the future. I watch a girl here on UA-cam who had a baby. She wanted to show her new baby to her audience because they had been on this journey with her, but she was rightly worried about the crazy people of the world. Her agency advised that showing a baby isn't that dangerous because a baby's face is always changing. Nobody in the public will be able to recognise your baby for this reason. All babies look fairly similar, all very baby-like. It's only as the baby grows and their face starts to shape out, that is when you hide them. That is when if they are at school for instance or at the mall, someone might recognise. I hope that makes sense and it helps. Do whatever you feel is best, I just wanted to give a different perspective.
Congratulations!🤍 I’m so happy for you. I definitely feel like your mindset, faith and spirit led to your beautiful experience. As believers, we have favor. I’m proud of you for pushing back and standing up for yourself when it felt necessary. I am actually completely against inducing labor for many reasons. (I won’t go into all of them ) But I will say that it actually aids in prolonging labor. The complete opposite of what many doctors claim. Our bodies were made to birth children. And it knows when it’s time and when it isn’t. All of the forced help that’s been implemented into the American medical system is questionable. It also should be noted that many hospitals like to encourage c-sections because it’s more profitable for the institution, costs less and is a faster process. I’ve seen and heard doctors attempt to scare women into choosing this option..(even when the pregnancy had been great so far). You definitely caught on to their game towards the end. Again, I love that you advocated for yourself and I’m sure Maryan also had your back🥰🥰 I’m excited for the mommy content. Becoming a parent is such an honor🫶🏽
Yes to everything you just said!! After I got home I was upset for giving in and prayed about it because it started to make sense. They were starting to talk “other options” if he didn’t come by 5pm that day and I knew it meant possible c section smh!! The pitocin slowed things down and I caught that, it’s so sad they push it on everyone but make sense because it’s all a money grab
@@Offthebeatenpath. Yes! You definitely get it! Fortunately, God was going to cover you all regardless. I am a healthcare professional, but at the same time I’m aware of the ways these corporations manipulate patients into doing what is in the best interest of the business. My aunt recently had her first baby too and her medical team kept telling her to NOT push when her body was telling her to push!! She said that someone on staff told her that if she pushes then she will strangle her baby😳 This made me sooo upset because it’s NOT true. But she’s a new mother and doesn’t know much in regard to healthcare so of course that scared her into listening. However, at one point she said “forget this” and pushed despite them telling her not and the baby girl came out immediately. No issues. Because of things like this and the frequent coming in an out of the room after birth, I will go the home route. It’s stastically more safe and is the more common route in other countries. Some states in the US also have these beautiful birthing centers led by midwives with independent practices. They’re worth looking into😊
@@Breonaleonard wow, good for your aunt for listening to her body!! That’s how they get us, being uninformed and using scare tactics, it’s very sad. It’s so funny you said that because I had a nurse from Hong Kong right after birth who gave me so much advice. She said she had a home birth because there is too many regulations in the hospital and she worked at the hospital! She also said she bed shares with her baby which the hospital did not recommend! Thank you for writing this so others can see and hopefully have the strength to deny certain procedures if they are pushed to do so 🤍
Was thinking of you & how I haven’t seen you post in a while just came back & you gave birth?! Omg congrats ❤ As a labor & delivery nurse I love brith stories.
Also as a labor nurse when we say “baby doesn’t like that position” in some positions when the water is broken baby’s HR drops as the amniotic fluid isn’t cushioning baby as much. Nothing major but the umbilical cord can be pinched in certain positions due to how you are lying.
Wow it’s been a while, I had no idea you were expecting! 🤍 we had similar experiences with induction, except I was almost 42 weeks and never experienced spontaneous labor. The domino effect with pitocin is SO real. By the grace of God I was able to deliver vaginally even though everything was pointing to a C section. Pushed him out in 24 minutes after a 35 hour labor. Welcome to the mama club!

Yay! Praise God!
I’m happy too overall because there was a split moment where they talked about “other options” if things didn’t progress so I’m glad I got to push him out 😊
Gwennnnnn😄😄 Congratzz again boo 🩵..You're glowing☺️ ....I Love that you spoke up 4 yourself & how you put 2 & 2 together...that knowledge & wisdom is from the Lord 🙌🏾....I'm smiling frm ear 2 ear .so happy 4 you guys 🤗
It was! Wish I would have stayed the course but 🤷🏽♀️ thank you so much❤

Wow, crazy how so many women get pushed to do things by doctors! I can see why many people lean toward home births nowadays!
Thank you so much 🤍
Thank you for sharing your birth story, there is so much there that I can relate to!! God is so faithful and I am so happy for you and your lovely family! Welcome baby boy!! 🎉
Yes he is 🙌🏽 thank you for all your advice in regards to other topics we spoke about!
I didn’t think of it from that angle but I can see why they said that because his face has already changed so much!
@@Offthebeatenpath. I'm sure it has and will continue to for a long while yet. I'm glad my input helped! X

Thank you! Thought I replied to your comment
Also as a labor nurse when we say “baby doesn’t like that position” in some positions when the water is broken baby’s HR drops as the amniotic fluid isn’t cushioning baby as much. Nothing major but the umbilical cord can be pinched in certain positions due to how you are lying.
I never knew that!!
