Dang I have won best delegate and best speech twice in a row now using almost the complete opposite method. My MUN is relatively small so the environment may be difference. However the method I used was to simply be as imposing and intimidating as possible. I abused the fact that I am far more articulate than most to the fullest effect. I simply built a reputation of shutting down any arguments made against me. You'd be surprised how effective the Dunning Kruger effect can be.
@@aahanaseharawat You need to recognize that MUN isn't really a debate. There can be a right answer. The other delegates are restricted by their own countries stance. Look at past national and international action and copy it, they can't go against something that they already agreed to, Simply make a resolution that has elements of most of the countries stances. If they go against their countries stance, eject them from the conference.
Yeah, especially when you’re the most well-informed or most experienced delegate, you have pretty much complete liberty to intimidate everyone else into joining your group, even without having amazing well-structured arguments.
I am a novice delegate and unable to understand what other delegates state so fast and I am very nervous that I can't speak anything at that moment and just stare upon the speaker. They are like wined robots to remember all those facts, I don't know how to be a better delegate, they use different words that I sometimes can't understand. Please help me! What should I do to be more optimistic and to understand what they are talking about?
I used to keep a composition notebook and pen in hand. Inside there were notes about my country’s views/values, allies, etc. I took notes while people spoke and quickly shifted to writing a response if I felt called to speak.
You research you did it best. Nobodu remembers what you say they remmeber what you are doing. So be confident in your body and speech. People forget easly most don't bother. They only see an influence. Be yourself and remmeber you got this. Why? Since a problem exists so does a solution. And research knowledge is power.
@@studysmart6723 It's actually quite simple, instead of treating another person like the leader, be the leader. Propose solutions, CREATE the action plan and have some good research to back you up!! Good luck! :D

Observe what they say since knowledge is free for all. And write it down
