You should practice speaking in front of friends, family, or someone you trust in general. If you never step out of the box, it going to stay hard to speak in front of people. Of course, don't force yourself into uncomfortable situations but do push yourself. Also practicing your speech on your position paper or anything you would think is necessary will help. This is very important. This will help stop stumbling over words and will make you feel more confident in general. This is late, but I hope this will help you or anyone who reads this.

I know I'm late and I'm not her, but I can give you a brief on how you could research for a conference: 1) use the website 'bestdelegate' to get to know more about MUNs, research patterns, how a conference works etc. 2) start with getting to know your portfolio or country. Use the CIA world factbook for an overview about your country's population, government, GDP etc. You can also use the IMUNA webpages to get to know about your country's allies etc 3) read your committee's mandate thoroughly. Acquaint yourself with the workings of it. 4) read about your agenda(s), past resolutions, problems, proposed solutions, speeches etc 5) try to understand your country's stance on the agenda. Know about any laws that have been made, treaties that have been ratified and other actions that have been taken by your government. You also need to know about the flaws in your country in relation to a particular issue. 6) disect your agenda in to sub topics. This can be very hard at first but it gets easier as you gain experience. Eg, if your agenda is promotion of women equality, possible sub topics could be a) the role of NGOs and CSOs in promoting women equality b) causes of gender inequality c) patriarchy as a means of demeaning women empowerment d) social media and women empowerment Etc 7) Try to find flaws with existing international frameworks and other country's laws so that you can question them. Eg if the agenda is women empowerment, you could question the delegate of USA about there being no paid maternity leave in most states. 8) prepare a research binder 9) listen to the other delegates. Talk to experienced people and have a good time :)
I watched this video one day before my very first MUN and guys, I got an award as best delegate! I can’t believe, there were so much great people there... 😭🤍
Tbh research is not that imoortant especially if your country is neutral ( do learn about points your country can get bashed on and be ready to defend it ) Bash others and do have dirt on your enemy countries Raise your placard each and every fucking time Participate alot in unmod (very important as 60% points are given to u based on ur unmodding ) Try to make your own bloc, manipulate people to join it and be dominant while being diplomatic Last and a lil important in my opinion is that be friendly with your chairs as they are the one who are gonna give an award , im not saying that they will do favouritism but its human psychology that you will make impact on their brain ) Lastly, share your frameworks and next ideas with dias all the time and ask for their critiques, dias will take that in mind that you were actually participating Hope this helps and yes thi is extremely informative ❤

As a Chinese, I suggest you get more facts and read the rumour refuted by the Chinese Foreign Ministry. The truth is very different from the rumour. The so-called re-education Center is a centre for vocational skills education and training. It is a centre for preventive measures taken to counter-terrorist organizations. 😊 Anyway,I hope you can make a successful delegation!

My first MUN went great.
Hi Chloe, I’m interested in running an advertisement on your channel. Is there any way to get in touch? Best, Joe.
Research method please!!!
I know I'm late and I'm not her, but I can give you a brief on how you could research for a conference:
1) use the website 'bestdelegate' to get to know more about MUNs, research patterns, how a conference works etc.
2) start with getting to know your portfolio or country. Use the CIA world factbook for an overview about your country's population, government, GDP etc. You can also use the IMUNA webpages to get to know about your country's allies etc
3) read your committee's mandate thoroughly. Acquaint yourself with the workings of it.
4) read about your agenda(s), past resolutions, problems, proposed solutions, speeches etc
5) try to understand your country's stance on the agenda. Know about any laws that have been made, treaties that have been ratified and other actions that have been taken by your government. You also need to know about the flaws in your country in relation to a particular issue.
6) disect your agenda in to sub topics. This can be very hard at first but it gets easier as you gain experience. Eg, if your agenda is promotion of women equality, possible sub topics could be
a) the role of NGOs and CSOs in promoting women equality
b) causes of gender inequality
c) patriarchy as a means of demeaning women empowerment
d) social media and women empowerment
Etc
7) Try to find flaws with existing international frameworks and other country's laws so that you can question them. Eg if the agenda is women empowerment, you could question the delegate of USA about there being no paid maternity leave in most states.
8) prepare a research binder
9) listen to the other delegates. Talk to experienced people and have a good time :)
Cool....thank youu so muchh huhu...
I watched this video one day before my very first MUN and guys, I got an award as best delegate! I can’t believe, there were so much great people there... 😭🤍
Really, that's very good congratulations!
Omg congo !!
Wish me luck mine is in 2 days
But you have to pay your own flights, and others amounting to 2000 euros
Congrats 😭🤝
Really, and what's it comes for? Scam
How challenging would you say the Model UN for an 8 grade students?
Hi Chloe! Are you studying at Oxford or UChicago? xx
Also, I'd definitely be interested in hearing more about your research method please :)
why are you so cute!!
Tbh research is not that imoortant especially if your country is neutral ( do learn about points your country can get bashed on and be ready to defend it )
Bash others and do have dirt on your enemy countries
Raise your placard each and every fucking time
Participate alot in unmod (very important as 60% points are given to u based on ur unmodding )
Try to make your own bloc, manipulate people to join it and be dominant while being diplomatic
Last and a lil important in my opinion is that be friendly with your chairs as they are the one who are gonna give an award , im not saying that they will do favouritism but its human psychology that you will make impact on their brain )
Lastly, share your frameworks and next ideas with dias all the time and ask for their critiques, dias will take that in mind that you were actually participating
Hope this helps and yes thi is extremely informative ❤
My first MUN will be on April 14th...IM SO SCAREDD
Please share your research template and method. 💜
I have stage fright what should i do?
I am currently at a online MUN camp and i will be attending my first conference. I have stuttering issues and I'm not very good with speaking. making matters worst, I'm in 7th grade and everyone else is in high school. can anyone give me any tips?
HELP!! it's my second MUN and I'm china, our topic is re education camps in China, so everyone will hate me. What do I do??
u basically gotta be the bad guy
As a Chinese, I suggest you get more facts and read the rumour refuted by the Chinese Foreign Ministry. The truth is very different from the rumour. The so-called re-education Center is a centre for vocational skills education and training. It is a centre for preventive measures taken to counter-terrorist organizations. 😊 Anyway,I hope you can make a successful delegation!
Did you pay for all of your MUN conferences ??
