There is another High Quality shoe maker in Bandung you must review. Not Famous in Indonesia but they have lot of fans in Singapore and Japan. Namely Fortuna Shoes.
Got rid of ALL my other Chelsea boots after picking up my Benzein Sevenths in overdyed brown Maryam veg tan, had them 3 years and are amazing with red lining, woodsman heel and Dr Sole half sole.
It's been interesting to see Southeast Asia as a region of interest in the Leather Boot / Shoe world. For years the only real Asian market for leather goods from US, UK, ITaly was Japan. As wealth increased and appreciation for high end goods increased as well in China, that became a market but there was less appreciation for the traditional stuff there, more 'designer'. Over time I've started to see Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, etc as having more people appreciating "western craftsmanship". More collectors of American style of clothing - Workwear, Military, Motorcycle, Heritage goods. Red Wing boots have had a real explosive popularity in that region as well as selvedge denim, military jackets, US GI type of style like Aviator Sunglasses, etc. And now we see the shift from appreciation and collecting into manufacturing. People want the style they want and if importing them is too expensive or difficult they just make it themselves and it advances and gets refined. This maker appears to be one of this scene. It's interesting to see that he desires the "toe rolls" when that is something that I dislike.

Great boots! Unfortunately customer service is simply lackluster. If your sizing is not correct, you will not have a good time. One of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. Paying additional out of pocket to return, not seeing the boots for another year, wouldn't return messages on Whatsapp for days to weeks, it was awful. However, if you get your sizing right, you will have one of the best and beautiful Chelseas. Good Luck!
Yeah that's the risk I would not like to take. There is no policy on the site about warranty or return or mis size etc. the boot I want made will cost $740USD. It's a fortune to drop on a boot when you're making it to order.

I am javanese and admitted the only craftmanship than can matches bandung people are japan, bali and java are good but they kinda stick to their culture and tradition, but bandung always evolve
