It is amazing that when given a chance to abuse another person, it's always "justified" if you can have some kind of excuse to give for your bad behavior. If you see your job in law enforcement as a chance to abuse your suspects, you are going to abuse both the innocent and the guilty alike. In essence, you are going to be part of the criminal "Thin Blue Line Gang" , doling out vigilante justice.
@Jager_works I clearly listened to the the scenario. There was an accusation that a horrible crime had been committed, and the cop chose to enact punishment to the suspect, becoming a criminal himself. If it turns out the suspect is actually innocent, you can't take those actions back. The cops job is not to be the punisher.
@@ashpug3417 The entire system is based on innocent until proven guilty. Misidentification happens for many reasons. Cops are never intended to be Judge, Jury and Executioner. I reiterate that when a cop becomes a punisher, they become the criminal. It is a simple concept.
