A lot of times car reviewers talk about the shining bells and whistles a family oriented budget car like this has, well at the top trim. The problem is that people shopping this kind of car won't get the top trim. Wouldn't it be better to test the middle trim or base trim? Like they mentioned at the end of this video, the test model costs about 25,000 $. If I am on a market with that amount of money I would not buy a "TOP trim" sentra that supposed to be a budget car.
wait for the model to hit rental fleet sales in a year and you can grab the $20k mid level trim with 30k miles for about 12k. depreciation hit will be very high if you buy new since this car brings a recipe as a rental car special.
they have one. its a 1.6L turbo with a close ratio 6spd manual. Still no QR25DE like the SE-R we all wish would come back. 188hp from a turbo engine is actually pretty sad when the 2.5L QR from the B16 SpecV can make 200hp with its higher compression ratio.
Needs about 20 more hp, 6sp. manual in the higher trim (SR) and sport(ier) suspension. IMO, it's got a base of a good package with decent looks, right pricing and it's roomy. Until then mazda 3 or 6 and the Civic are on my short list.
They have exactly that now. Look at m other comments on this video or research the newly unvailed SR Turbo model, making 188hp from its 1.6T engine with the same close ratio 6-speed from the previous generation SER
We all wish the SE-R would make a comeback... but fear not! There is a newly announced SR Turbo model that, while it falls short in the power department, has an engaging close-ratio six speed, nearly identical to the B16 SER and SpecV trims.
Ancvent • Yes, it's ugly and it catches on fire, but they sure are selling tons of them. Even though it just came out, I see at least 3 of them every day.
I'm sorry but this is an extremely short sighted and shallow review. Read other reviews of this car by established sources like Car and Driver and you'll see this car is the bottom of the segment and has many unacceptable qualities.
CVT. Great Idea. Poor Execution. Many other manufacturers have cvt's but don't put them in cars, due to the development that needs to go in before they are practical.
PremierAutoMan86 that doesn't make it bad even if it's true. Rental companies us reliable cars that won't end up costing them money for repairs all the time. That's why they don't use many American brands.
This is the best looking Sentra ever. For some reason, I think it looks better than the new Altima
just bought one 2 weeks ago, my stats are showing 28.6 city and 38.5 city/hwy combined. so far love it!!

Good review & great Sentra.
For quite a bit less money, I'd opt for the Versa, almost as roomy and better MPG's as well. Plus it won't depreciate as much
Nice exterior design.
the rental car god is here.
I don’t like Nissan I’m a Chevy person but Chevy is so expensive so this as a first car ain’t bad 🤩

They need turbo version or a bigger engine.

Feel sorry for the people who bought one just before the Turbo comes out.
XenomorphLV426 turbo is only a 1.6... Wack
NISSAN SENTRA NISMO, THATS ALL IM INTERESTED IN REGARDING THIS MODEL, OR ANY NISSAN FOR THAT MATTER. LET ME KNOW WHEN THAT CAR IS AVAILABLE.

This doesn't stand a chance against the new Civic.
The new civic that recalled recently because the engines were catching on fire? LOL
the civic looks like a knee.

pedro fernandez yea.. I just don't see the hype! The front end is really nice but the back is horrendous.

About $6000 too much.
Nissan definitely isn't paying you for your opinion lol
Underpowered with a CVT.....

It's not even worth considering in the "low 20's".
fiesta st and focus st better
Ye but the fiesta is ugly.
But still, it’s automatic transmission I’m a bit disappointed 😔
Wt efff man all of that to then say is not a great car
Nissan Sentra = Rental car

Terrible car, one of the worst in the segment
Agree, the B17 sentra has been terrible quality. The B16s were far superior
Ugh! This is one ugly car. Few compact cars compare to the 5th generation Elantra (2011-16) from Hyundai
