Doar că e sârb nu român
Am vazut in direct, dar si in reluare imi produce emotie!!!
Crazy that this is an even better swim than the 100 WR. I fully believe he can go sub 1.42. And that will be special considering the Olympics was won in a 1.44
Agreed. 1:42 is ridiculous. Everyone else is going 1:44/1:45. 46.8 is crazy too especially for a 17yo but there are so many people who are going 47 low
@@jackgoff6215 yep. My worry now is how terribly he swum at Worlds. With a young swimmer there is always the chance that as they develop problems begin to arise. His stroke looked bad in every event, and had no back end which is what he is known for.
But the way he went out in the 200, if he can be in a better position come olympics, he's going 1.42.5. Hopefully there was something going on.
From what I have heard he seems to be prioritising his academic life over his swimming life. He took quite a large break from the sport recently after joining the Uni of Bucharest. Might be wrong on that though
Yeap thats true.He already said from the start of the year he will focus on the exams at the end of highschool and the University admission@@MaxSwims. From now he will start to train harder.
BRAVO POPOVICI!!
Congratulations to our Champion 🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴💙💛❤️💙💛❤️💙💛❤️💙💛❤️💙💛❤️🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
This is just the beginning for David. Being part of the family, seeing him grow and progress, the years to come will certainly be full of surprises and new world records. As David's uncle, I was also a performance athlete, but in another sport, I have a piece of advice - stay strong for what's to come

Bravissimo 👏🏻
Excelente nadador!
Congrats, Popovici ! 💪
This guy is a fucking bullet, Phelps is lucky he was not around in his prime.
Very interesting swimming style, slightly asymmetric in tempo. He seems to streamline bit more on the non breathing side, his kicking seems bit more narrow.
Technique at its finest
Excellent hip twisting bringing really strong (not wide) 6-beat cross kicking power all the way from the core
❤❤💪💪The best💪💪👏👏😍😍
There's something about Popov.

Având în vedere în ce țară trăim ,meritele ar trebui sa fie duble pentru băiatul nostru.
Is title should be WJ instead of WR?. By the way awesome race, kudos to Romania.
Actually he should be the world champion because Biedermann himself recognized he got a lot faster due to the swimsuit that is not allowed anymore, David having a swimsuit would give him probably 2 seconds ahead Biedermann because the swimm is waterproof and makes the swimmer lighter, gives a fish like shape to the owner and saves oxigen, is scientific proved that the swimsuit helps the swimmer so David is the best swimmer this world ever had, proud of him
It’s the fastest time ever recorded without the use of a supersuit.
@@MaxSwims its true, but without adding "textile", the title in its current form is just simply incorrect
@@arnoldbingler7102 in the thumbnail it says ‘World Record (fastest time without a bodysuit)’
@@arnoldbingler7102 Phelps' Beijing 08 performance wasn't with a "supersuit"
They should delete all supersuit records, since swimmers can't use them anymore!
yeah i agree
They will be gone soon.
@@deltivan they should have thought of this since years ago that it should be same suit all the time
Nah. Keep them. An interesting time in sports. They'll get broken anyways.
@@deltivan Sadly one year later they are still valid.
That last 50 gap 💀
Imo he will never get back to the level he was here. Much like Thorpe his peak year was 17 years of age. He was not even close to this just 1 year later in 2023.
bravo coaie
Cred ca nici in alergare nu scot timpul ala😂
Так, а теперь подержите мое пиво
Micheal Phelps record time is 1:42:96 ❤

Cred ca si-au dat seama ca pentru urmatorii 15 ani aurul este al lui popovici 😂
i just realized my 200-yard free got me into YALE. "like its hard"
And yet he completely failed at the World Championships in Tokyo 2023...he still has to produce at the World's or the Olympics
@@kdavies3105 he won 200 m free at Paris 2024
He just did :)
