I think this season was only a step back due to the fact that it focused on a lot of character development. Even in the comics, this is a time period where a lot of characters are developing more and there are a lot more new plot lines being introduced, which could lead to a baller season 3 if they do it right. I'm sure kirkman got something up his sleeve. I will agree tho that the gap really killed momentum for the show, but at least we won't have to wait too long for season 3 to come out.

when we rewatch the entire show in 2040, we'll realize how good s2 was. set the stage really well. coz in s3, its obvious there's gonna be the prison break, mark and eve, invincible war, conquest, powerplex, and the problems with cecil if they decide to keep that

No I love both seasons
2nd szn was definitely not as good as the first season but I thought it was still engaging and well directed - but the 3rd season will go crazier than the first and second szn if they stick to the comic

I feel like season 2 was to see how the change of characters are going to be for season 3. It is a good transition in how AMBER IS GONE and also how Mark Killed someone and is not trying to be like his father. It had a lot of emotions but i think next season will be packed
there are a very few people who are saying s2 was 'bad'
like bruh they only want mark to do 2 things: eve and fight
I loved that season idk if i hsve any complaints love the rex redemption, and the song they played called feel it, is so good

the regular episodes were more fun than s1 but the finale was weaker than season 1
Some of the subplots did feel like they sucked up a lot of time. However, from what I know about the comics some of them are pretty crucial to the main story. Debbie is pretty vital to marks development and later on Omni man's redemption. She's pretty well written, she leads from behind unlike Amber who's more condescending and self-righteous. Angstrom is more of a vehicle to make Mark the villain. It will become more apparent later on. The show is staying pretty true to the source material. Right now I just think there's some things that are out of canonical order, and differences in how they introduce characters that's all. I feel they'll keep to it more after everyone's reaction to Amber.

I think season one was better, but season two was a great sequel. Season one was devastating for everyone involved and season twos job was to adress that and set up the grand finale that will be season three. It progressed through Mark's mental collapse which culminated in the killing of Armstrong. Season was a lot more grappling because the threat that was Omni Man but we had to adress that devastation for all characters to really make it effective. I do prefer season one on its own but I think once we have season three, season two will look a lot clearer in retrospect.

4 th episode and rex episode were cool.. Remaining were nothing much good as those..even finale was just avg.. Multiverse was only shown a little like in first and last episode.. It could have been better if Armstrong character was more

Honestly, season two developed the characters much more, they are about equal to me though.
The main bad guy has barely any screen time like Mark said oh you're that guy wasn't built up to like he dad in the first season

Something about the break really took the wind out the sales. Was it just me or did it feel like a lot was happening but at the same time nothing happened. The first 3 episodes felt very forgettable
I think its the fault of the episode structures. I think they should make these episodes like 15-20 episodes but 22 minutes long to help give a better focus for each individual episode.
100%, I fuckin hate that they delayed it for so long - shoulda just waited until they could do all 8 episodes week after week instead of that horrible gap

Maybe future seasons will be. Unless the entire series peaked in 2021, and is going on a slow decline to the point that the last season needed to be over.

Not that much happened in season 2. It felt like there were more filler episodes. Though it may feel like that because they cut the season in half which is fucking stupid. Really killed the momentum and hype of the show.
Yeah the break was a bad choice. Shoulda just delayed it all to 2024 if not all the episodes were ready.
You dont know what filler means. Such a over used term. Literally everything in the season will be important in the future.

No it’s not. The whole season is a filler. Good animation could have carried it but I guess Amazon is a small company that cannot afford more than bare minimum animation quality
I understand your annoyance but I think designating the whole season as filler is a bit much. There’s plenty of character development and the show is in a very different place from the end of season one but its definitely not as actioned packed as season one. Also yeah i didnt mention in the video but im surprised the animation wasnt improved a lot like I was expecting a dramatic quality increase.

Literally everything that happened in the season is going to be crucial for going forward in the storyline as a whole. The fact that you think it’s a filler shows you have a pathetic comprehension of whats happening in the story. You don’t even know what filler is.
