Am I the only one who prefers both the sound and the looks of the Boombox 1?
    Great review. 👍

I have this speaker and absolutely love it. I was tired of going to friend and family parties with lame speakers. I carry this wherever I go now! With Covid it’s just become an overkill indoor speaker that stays plugged in.

i got it too and i like it, in my home i use my subwoofer and speakers mainly tho, just to get that low end bass better. but when i go outside i usually always have the boombox with me and i really like it

I used to work at a gadget store and this was very popular amongst new home owners. I remember being thankful for the neighbours that I have.

Worth spending $180 more for the boombox 2?
(I don't wanna connect any other speakers , just want one boombox)

It doesn’t look like it should cost $400.

Is there any justification for making them a non-compatible laugh the new protocol has some new features that cannot be supported if it kept compatibility with the previous one I have no problem with new things not supporting old thing as long as it is a justifiable reason

2 Things: First this uses Connect+ and not the 1st generation Connect. Second this if far from being obsolete as JBL is still producing Connect+ speakers because they're in high demand. You can even find some of the older generation speakers going for the same price of the new generation if you don't catch them on a sale.
Although I understood a lot of your verbiage, I think it was a bit misleading to some not in that know that they can't buy Connect+ speakers such as this OG Boombox and not be supported.

Did he say anything about being able to turn it on and off remotly with the phone or something?
I got a smaller sony one. It's good. But you got to turn it on and off manually. which is kinda lame. I need to turn it on and off thru the app so i don't have to get up. But my speaker is from 2 years ago.
