In this part I show how to set up and break down your GeoPro at a campsite.
The GeoPro in the video is a 2021 19FD, but most of the information should apply to any GeoPro or E-Pro.
It's the information I wish I had when I bought my GeoPro!

Thank you for putting together this three part series. I just purchased a new 20FBS and I got more useful information from you than I did from my dealer!
You're welcome. I had the same problem, so that's why I made it. Thanks for watching!
All I have to say is Thank you Thank you and Thank you.. all this is new to me and I may not know everything but I have learned alot in your 3 part series!!!!
Glad you it helped! Thanks for watching!
Very informative 3 part series. You went through way more than the dealer did. Thank you!
You're welcome and thanks for watching!
Picking up my Geo Pro this week and I’m sure glad I found your video series very informative. Thanks for sharing you worked hard.
Glad you found it helpful!
Apparently so will you soon. No cakewalk getting all that setup and back down. Hope it is fun for you!
Thank-you for showing the top of cone
Thanks for doing this series. You guys covered details most don’t and you will help many people. Appreciate it.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for all of the videos, learned a lot!
On the Anderson Hitch , if you cut off one chain link at the end, it will give you more room for your socket. I had the same problem, I cut a link off & it works great now.
Also, a older gentleman told me to put the water filter first, then the water regulator. Because, it will keep any debris from getting it the regulator & you will get a true reading from your gauge because the filter may cause the pressure to drop.
I cut off a link on one chain, but I didn't want to do both sides in case I was ever in a situation where one side would be too short to reach! I guess it makes sense that you could use the filter first to prevent debris from clogging the pressure regulator, maybe I will try that. Thanks!
Thanks for your easy going and thorough explanation through all your 3 part series. I just bought a new Geo Pro and really did not have any idea about all the systems or how to do some of these tasks. Feeling much more confident on heading out for our first time. Best videos I have found. Thanks again.
Glad it was helpful! Good luck with your new Geo Pro!
Thanks Dan you the man!!
Glad I watched all 3 really good job explaining everything
Thanks!
@@TheHorizonAwaits we just bought our geopro and this was so helpful we even made the list
You might want to check out the Anderson instructions
All you need to do is raise the trailer off the ball and slide the chain attachment off the ball housing
You will not need to reset your ride heights when you re attached 😊
If you keep your grey tank closed as well as the black tank you will probably accumulate enough gray water to 'flush' the hose after emptying the black tank, which is probably a good thing.
Thanks for such a great informative series. The best I’ve seen. Haven’t got my rig yet but I’m ordering it this week. Now I feel a little more prepped and ready. 👍🏻
Thanks for the kind words and good luck with your new rig!
Good videos, some don't get a through orientation or if you bought it used, don't get one at all. I'd like to add this. The very first thing to do when you pull into a campsite, is to check to make sure all the utilities are working. Nothing more frustrating than leveling, unhooking and connecting the utilities only to find out one or more are not working and you have to break camp to move to a different site. So turn on the water, check the electricity with circuit tester and make sure there are no problems with the sewer. I've had problems with all of these.
Good point, Thanks for watching!
I just got Geo Pro 19 FD, picking up this week! Thanks! It’s very helpful!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Really appreciate all three of your videos in this series! I just got a '21 19RD and they helped answer some questions and also confirm some things I thought I knew but wasn't sure. Well done. Thank you thank you thank you!
Glad to help!
One of the BEST and informative set up videos I’ve seen. Please keep this channel going y’all 👍
Thanks!
Thank you for taking the time to do this series.
My wife and I are getting ready to start RV shopping and I learned what to look for to make our lives easier down the road.
You're welcome and thanks for watching!
All 3 videos were excellent for me a newbie to RV and all the moving parts compared to our boondocking tent trailer. I will be watching these over and over for our new 19FBS! Thanks so much!!
I'm glad they helped! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Really helpful for returning to RVing after popup towing many years ago. We just bought a 2020 19FD used and will be picking it up next week.
Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy your 19 fd as much as we like ours!
Thanks for you help. Just purchased a Geo Pro 16Bh. My first, this is great.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching!
.very informative video!
Those wedge pillows were one of the first things we got for inside! You both did an excellent job of covering details! Great team work😅
Thanks!
AWESOME VIdeos! Thank you for making these, so much great info that the dealer NEVER told me. Also, you can use some glad press and seal on that toilet when traveling to keep the water from coming out.
Thanks! And thanks for the good tip.
Hi , thank you for this 3 part series. Super helpful for a beginner. It was Millie prof as I called it. Super Cool! I am getting my 19FD model this week and wanted to find what to expect of the training they are about to give me. Your title sucked me right in and into the right direction. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks for watching and good luck with your new FD19, I'm sure you will love it!
Great Video!
Thanks!
@@TheHorizonAwaits Hi Dan, I see you have Tampa Bay Stickers on your TT. I'm also in the Tampa Bay area. Where did you purchase your TT? I've just started looking for our first TT and I'm looking for a 20FBS model. Just curious to see if have a good experience with any local dealerships or any recommendations. Again, Thanks for the info..
@@jerryflynn9414 I'm in Tampa, but I bought my 19FD at the start of the COVID lockdowns but before the prices went up. We had to go to Fort Pierce to get the only one left in Florida! I don't have any experience with Tampa dealers, sorry.
Oof. The Anderson hitch removal.... lift jack, pull pin, disconnect plate, lower jack, lift off ball, drive away. You should NEVER need to adjust the nuts, ever.
Yes I should’ve read all comments 😢😅 a good effort
Thanks so much for all the great information. You all rock! My wife and I just picked up a 2021 19fbs. It's currently sitting in the driveway getting ready for our first adventure (which will be so much easier, and less stressful, thanks to you!). Quick question...I have an Anderson WDH and was wondering if I could just disconnect the triangle plate from the bottom of the hitch when disconnecting the trailer, instead of removing the chains and having to re-install them when reconnecting the trailer? Thanks again for your help!
Sure, I know a number of people who do that. I don't only because I don't want to leave the expensive chains and plate connected to my trailer when I drive off. There would be nothing to prevent someone from walking off with them. Thanks for watching!
Another five star video! Thank you! Just some thoughts...have you considered putting a black mark on the nut as well as the socket so you can see it when you use the crescent wrench? Also, if you need to hitch up at a slight angle, why not hook up the ball and then just pull forward a few feet to get truck and trailer in alignment before you hook up the Anderson hitch instead of waggling back and forth to try to get them lined up before you hook up? And EXTRA thank you for being so detailed about dumping the tanks and making it look easy and less intimidating. Most channels rush through it or are vague in their explanation while not fully demonstrating. I appreciated the full demo! One question though...is it really stinky even if you do everything right? I have a weak stomach. LOL
If I use the crescent wrench, I can see how far I have turned the nut fairly easily so I haven't marked it, but it is a good suggestion!
The Anderson hitch is weird in that the bracket does not turn directly with the truck, but with the chains, so pulling forward will not change the angle of the chain plate easily. I have sometimes just hooked up a chain and tightened it to get the plate straight, but Anderson does not recommend that!
If you follow the steps I've shown and dump and flush regularly, I have not found the smell too bad. The dump station or sewer pipe at the campground usually smells worse than your black tank though.
@@TheHorizonAwaits Thank you! I appreciate both replies!!!
Fantastic informative video series. Binged it all lol thank you both very much for taking the time to teach us newbies how things work. Random stupid question but in the event of a rainstorm, do you unplug the power line or are the truly water resistant even if water is hitting the connection ( both at the trailer or campground tower) directly?
Thanks for watching! The power cords should be fairly waterproof. I've never heard of someone disconnecting their shore power lines in a rainstorm and I certainly don't. I guess if there was a chance of flooding and the power pedestal may go underwater I would probably disconnect, but that would be an extreme case.
How could we be provided your amazing checklist? I’m not seeing anywhere to download. - amazing videos…so glad we found you!💕
It is in the response to the first comment on this video below. Thanks for watching!
How long of a potable hose do you carry?
is it a good idea to attach the hose with a bungee or something to the ladder to protect it from strain or a mishap?
Does the TV latch into a storage position?
Thoughts on the dinette table? travel with it installed on the post? or disassemble it into the bed position?
Thanks for putting this series together. We're waiting to take delivery on a 2023 19FD and just prepping!
I carry a 50 ft potable hose. You never know when the water service is a long way from where you want to put your camper. I usually just lay the hose and wires flat on the ground and put my cones up around them if I can to keep people from tripping on them in the dark. My TV does not latch, but they may have changed that in the newer models. I travelled with the dinette on the post and wall latches before I removed it. There was no problem. Thanks for watching and good luck with your 19FD!
Great video. Thank you so much.
could someone share the link to the wedge pillows. I am getting a 2024 geo pro and wanted to get them for it.

How did you
set up the back up assist decal and does it work, I have the same set up, TT and TV
I added an angle bracket to the side of the trailer tongue, then placed the sticker on it. You can see it on my videos when I show the front of the trailer. Having said that, it is only really useful when you are backing up nearly straight. When I turn more than about 30 degrees, it loses the sticker!
Good morning, do you have the link on where you got the sway kit from?
Are you referring to my Anderson Weight Distribution Hitch? There are a number of places that sell them.
Here is a link to the one I bought from Amazon : www.amazon.com/3324-Andersen-No-sway-Weight-Distribution/dp/B009V70ZP8/ref=sr_1_1?hvadid=631532850208&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9012086&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=4776447895171092946&hvtargid=kwd-865796411993&hydadcr=18943_13472587&keywords=andersen+no+sway+distribution+hitch&qid=1680286032&sr=8-1&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.ac2169a1-b668-44b9-8bd0-5ec63b24bcb5
Are the propane tanks the same as the ones you exchange at a grocery/hardware store?
Yes.
Would you put the link to the Amazon wedge pillows here in the comments? I’m having trouble copying the info from the video. Thanks !

RVs are a full time job even when everything is working. Lol. So the Anderson hitch prevents what? Sway? That truck is plenty big enough for that model with a class IV hitch. Did you have a regular hitch and have problems? Curious if I need something like that.
I found that without the Anderson hitch at high speeds on a windy day, my truck was pushed around so much the driving was not fun. It is much better with the hitch.
@@TheHorizonAwaits Thanks much appreciated!
Can you post a link to the wedge pillows you used?
The link is in the reply to Donald Brown below.
Oh, one more thing...battery kill switch on or off while towing?
I leave it on. The only time I turn it off is in long term storage.
Awesome videos! Only one suggestion. As a nurse, I would like to point out that germs travel via air, vapor and contact. On a hot day, sewer gases expand and further facilitate their travel. It really is much safer to keep your clean circuit forever separate from the dirty circuit. It’s just not worth the risk. I mean, if I was your nurse, would I be able to add an air gap to your urinary catheter and use your IV tubing to give it a rinse before reaattching it to your IV? 😮😮 That whole sewer circuit is chock full of nasty little critters. Keep your water hose off of it. Thanks for the hard work that went into making these very nice videos.
I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean use a separate hose when doing a black tank flush? If so, remember there is a one way valve on the indoor part of the hose and it already adds a couple of feet to the connection to the black tank. If you still worried about gasses coming back up the hose, then by all means, use a separate hose.
As an experienced ICU Nurse, I also don’t know what she means lol.
Can you send us your check sheet?
Sure. You should be able to download the spreadsheet at this link: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LiD1VwM6qFlw_rtRAjld1z0MHV8__K-S/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=103421308754624224681&rtpof=true&sd=true
We run with the Andersen WDH as well, but don't do the chain removing work. Much easier to do it this way: ua-cam.com/video/xpQs0IM21kE/v-deo.html
That works, but I'm too nervous that someone at the campsite will walk off with that part of my expensive hitch if I leave it sitting at the campsite when I drive off!
