This technique could be so versatile.
Orange glitter peeking through black for Halloween, green glitter peeking through red for Christmas, gold glitter peeking through black would look really elegant I think. So many options that would go really well together!
When my client tenses up I just light tap their hand and tell them softly to relax....it helps everytime! I'm just very soft about it!! And giggle a little!!🙂
Venagail when I get my nails done I often do that subconsciously. Next thing I know I’m being told to relax and I’m like huh I didn’t even realize I started tensing up lol
@@susanna6462 I know they dont realize it.. but they come around after a little coaxing...it makes me giggle.. the hardest thing is when they won't bro g their hands to meander I have to lean way over in an awkward position and try to work like that. Makes my back hurt right away and ladt the rest of the day.... that's the one that's hard for me..they just dont want to come to me or can't because of arthritis....
@@Dresseduptogo I did a set of nails on someone once who just could NOT stay relaxed. By the end I was just grabbing the finger I was working on and shaking their hand by that finger, saying, "Relax! I'm trying to give you pretty nails, not amputate your fingers!" Then we'd both laugh and she'd relax-- for about two minutes. Then we'd do it all over again! She did walk out with a nice set of nails, but I didn't shed a tear when she didn't re-book with me.
@@calichef1962 ahh, this is me when i get my nails done! the tech kept telling me to relax, but in my head i was just like "i was until you said something!!" I just didn't understand what she meant lol, i thought my hand was limp. she was a little aggressive and moody so that didn't really help though.

I'm going to go in for my first acrylic set (finally mustered the courage and found a salon that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable as a male). Do you have any recommendations on length, shape, design, etc. for what I should get as my first set? I'm not even sure nail sets are for me, but I want to give it a try and don't want to ruin my first experience by going too crazy lol
Suzie have good videos how she's doing male acrilic sets. You should check it out and maybe gain some ideas.
I will recommend to keep it short and for first time I would choose more neutral/natural look.

Hi Suzie!!! My bucket list has me meeting you on it! I found a Great way to relax my clients hands. From their first apt. I tell them ,i hate to be rude and interrupt the client so I will just tap the back of their hand twice and they automatically know to relax it! Works everytime! We've got to train pur clients!!!&I dont have to repeat myself,or stop working! Feel free to use it! The jury is atill OUT with me, with all the press on nails situation... ty!
I think this would be absolutely incredible with a medium deep pink matte chrome as the frosted part (and matching color sparkles for the end)

Hi Susie I want to tell you I binged your videos so that I could do a way better job with doing a dip powder over my own natural nails but I had a big problem with flooding my cuticles your way of showing to do polish and things helped me a lady who's cognitive impaired an going blind how to do it 😍 pretty thank you😊
I’ve never had my nails done and probably never will. (I don’t like being touched in general. Not even by family or friends sometimes. It’s an anxiety thing.) that said, I love these videos so much. When I’m having a bad day I watch and rewatch them over and over.
I’m going to keep requesting Suzie do a full set of acrylics with tips. I want to see the best way to do them because most nail shops in the states won’t use forms. I know I’ve seen her do a nail here and there with other mediums like poly gel and gel, but I would just like to see her once do an awesome full hand of acrylics with tips. Please!! Love you suzie!!
They are stunning suzie the other thing u can do is top coat underneath so when yr moving yr hands about the light catches the glitter and it sparkles. When I do this design I dont do my colour quite as far down so I have more of the glitter showing xxx

I just got your scarlet electric nail drill in yesterday. It’s so smooth and I cannot even tell it’s on, it’s so smooth. It’s amazing! Love that it comes with a foot petal too.

Victoria Aguilar, you need to be careful as there are two kinds of these pumps and only one is suitable to use for acrylic liquid. Xx
make sure it’s made out of glass not plastic because the monomer will burn through plastic!

When you dont put a clear bead down on the free edge first where you put the glitter, will the glitter be poking out on the underneath of the nail? Or does the clear bead you use to pick up the glitter kind of encase it enough on the underneath so it's not? I hope I'm explaining my question good enough lol
I was wondering the same thing.
I think as long as you have more acrylic than glitter it should be smooth. Suzie is also using glitter made for nails, you'd have different result if you mixed your own glitter from the craft store.
Explained it perfectly, l have done this and have noticed that the more clear you use when applying the glitter the smoother it is,if l have used a chunkier glitter with not much clear l have felt a slight roughness but it's not something that gets in the way but best to use a clear base for strength anyway. I only miss out on the clear at the tip if I'm running low on monomer.

As it's a less chunky glitter acrylic it should be smooth underneath. I always put a thin clear base down and sandwich my glitter acrylic between two core acrylic powders as a glitter powder isn't a core powder and is weak. Xx
Could you do more at home beginners? I've been getting Acrylic nails done for years and have recently decided to learn to do it on my own. I love watching your videos and would really appreciate some tips and tricks speaking of how I bought a ton of supplies from tips to powder even an e-file.

I am not a nail technician but I have been getting my nails done/doing my nails since I was about 10. I remember being to to relax my fingers SOOOOOO much when i went to shops! I did it unconsciously so I would always think, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!?!?" Its a funny story now but it did take me some time to realize what i was doing.

I followed your technique on applying tips to natural nails using poly gel(I think you actually used a builder gel in the video). I tried using builder gel, but my tips popped off leaving the hardened gel on my nail🤷♀️. Thankfully, my poly gel came in the day before, so I gave it a try. Worked like a charm! Built up the top of the nails with builder gel, and I'm very happy with the results🤗.

Gorgeous Suzie! Love it!!! I almost jumped out of my chair at the end for the reveal shots because of your turtle ring. I just came back from Orlando a couple weeks ago. My hubby and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Universal Studios. When we were leaving we stopped by one of those lil shops that open the oysters for you and put your pearl into jewelry. He got me a ring and a bracelet. The bracelet was a dad, mom, and baby sea turtle exactly like that ring! I'm dying to know where you got it, so I can have a matching ring for my bracelet. So beautiful!

Oh, these are BEAUTIFUL!!! I think I like the glitter OVER the white hombre better. Maybe I'm cheap? I just like seeing a bit more of that lovely iridescent glitter!
I already know I can hombre, and I was surprised how quickly I got it right! I just sat down with one of those "nail wheels" that are often used for polish swatches, and did French gradients until I got it right. It took me less than 30 minutes! Of course, I had watched your gradient demos, and Kirsty Meakin's (Naio Nails,) and Sarah Burchett's and Kylea Wherry's and Nikki Porter's (Nailed by Nikki) so I had LOTS of demos and several methods to choose from. But it was a breeze! It was MUCH harder to learn how to lay acrylic smoothly, with the nail being thick in the right places and thin in the right places, than it was to learn how to hombre. TBH, I _still_ have problems making the nails thick enough, even when I do a clear base, colored middle and a clear acrylic overlay on the top. I just tend to do everything insanely thin. I can lay three layers of acrylic and end up with a free edge as thin as a business card. But I do like that because I can scratch an itch without bruising myself!

I am a massage therapist and we also have the problem of people tensing up when you try to move their limbs around therapeutically. I often ask people to "let your elbow be heavy" -- and this works a lot better than telling them to relax. Some people almost can't help it at all, though.
