I remember this awful takeover/hostage crisis. The hatred all felt. I did not feel that hatred here. Affleck did not need to focus on it. He understood their hatred, and rather than hating back, he used his insight on how these people think to make his mission a win. He made his piers understand it, the 6 embassy members. Same way FBI profilers work and give that insight to help catch them. Hating them won't matter, understanding how they think does matter.

I could have never kept that poker face, but it's like OMGee! 🙉Start that plane already! ✈🏃🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♀️✌💜
I think it portrayed a stunning time in both Iranian and United States history. As someone who just saw the film, I have to say that wherever your opinion is coming from, it's off base. Affleck didn't make the movie to inspire hate. He made it because it's a story worth being told. And I don't hate or think less of Iranians just because they brought history to life. In fact, the only thing it did was make me want to read up more on that historical event to understand it better.
I fell in love with Ben Afflecks character in this film. Although I realise there were other characters who perhaps did not get the credit they deserved. War and politics are so filthy. The US is a wolf in sheeps clothing in my opinion. However, brave people such as these have my deep respect and gratitude.
Interesting difference between this Argo trailer and the Argo movie: In the movie, the science fiction movie on TV which inspires the CIA rescue plan is one of the Planet of the Apes films. In this Argo trailer, however (from 0:58 to 1:00), we see footage from the 1975 movie, The Giant Spider Invasion. I only bring this up, because I watched The Giant Spider Invasion, last night, and that footage looked very familiar.
Ben Affleck went from being an ok actor, to a really amazing director. Gone Baby Gone and The Town were each a masterpiece. now I hear their talking to him about directing a Justice League movie.

Our grandfather's and fathers thought they where doing good for this country but boy oh boy i sure know how that ended
Hollywood movies are so educational... America won WW2 singlehanded, Robin Hood was an American, and the Russians are coming.
Wow, this movie actually looks amazing.
After seeing this, I can only guarantee one thing and Hope to God for another. I can guarantee that this movie will be nominated for Best Picture during the Oscars, and the one I Hope happens is that Ben Affleck gets nominated for Best Director. He directed a great fucking movie. This movie was by far the best I've seen so far this year. It was so good. I'm gonna see it again probably this week. Can't give this movie enough praise.
"Dream On" by Areosmith, and I think it's the use of that song for the last minute that really makes this an awesome trailer
Life is a story. We have all lived several lives. There is one thing that counts and that is love.
just saw this movie. extremely well done. im not normally a movie goer but this one caught my attention. Amazing! ben affleck is great. must see movie.
This trailer should be the base standard of how to make a trailer without revealing too much but still arousing interest in the public to watch it. "Dream on" completely amplifies the trailer !!!
I just came here because of what’s going on in Afghanistan right now 😳
Me too
I'm really surprised with the fact that The trailer had the OG Dream On song i mean the point at which it starts playing should've made me serious and excited about the movie but instead brought a smile on my face ...... Anyways time changes things.
This is my favorite movie directed by affleck
Same here 😎👌🎬
This was the last film that Roger Ebert chose as the Best film of the year, Before his Death on April 4 2013 at the age of 70
Who,s here after fall of kabul
this is HISTORY people, not necessarily "propaganda".... a period film based around events of the PAST.
Dream On 1:33
People who like this movie watch this also:- 13 hours, escape from mogadishu
Can't wait for this! Bryan Cranston for life!
Searching at the comments to read peoples opinions about the movie.. I am happy enough that I saw most comments are about how good this song is! 🤟
Ooofff what a movie 10/10 would recommend
One of my fave movies of all time!
Argo director is waving for the 2 part lol
Just saw this movie, now i understand why it won Best Picture at the Oscars
Just saw this movie earlier. It was easily one of the best films of the year. If not one of my all time faves.
The most underated movie of all time. Its really good.
💜✌Gosh this movie leaves me screaming at the screen.🤦♀️ The suspense makes me panic even though I know the ending. 😳 I love when the guy (who never trusted Ben) shows the sketches at the security gate & he speaks their language. My heart is pounding at this point because he really stepped it up! Everyone's faces throughout the movie were tense & you're right along with 'em! I could have never kept that poker face, but it's like OMGee! 🙉Start that plane already! ✈🏃🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♀️✌💜
Thanks alot for watching 🙏
I think it portrayed a stunning time in both Iranian and United States history. As someone who just saw the film, I have to say that wherever your opinion is coming from, it's off base. Affleck didn't make the movie to inspire hate. He made it because it's a story worth being told. And I don't hate or think less of Iranians just because they brought history to life. In fact, the only thing it did was make me want to read up more on that historical event to understand it better.
Thanks for watching my moving am glad to have you here
I fell in love with Ben Afflecks character in this film. Although I realise there were other characters who perhaps did not get the credit they deserved.
War and politics are so filthy. The US is a wolf in sheeps clothing in my opinion. However, brave people such as these have my deep respect and gratitude.
Interesting difference between this Argo trailer and the Argo movie:
In the movie, the science fiction movie on TV which inspires the CIA rescue plan is one of the Planet of the Apes films. In this Argo trailer, however (from 0:58 to 1:00), we see footage from the 1975 movie, The Giant Spider Invasion.
I only bring this up, because I watched The Giant Spider Invasion, last night, and that footage looked very familiar.
This is one of my favorite stories from real life :)
And still far from reality, another trick on simple minded people as Hollywoods always do.
Ben Affleck went from being an ok actor, to a really amazing director. Gone Baby Gone and The Town were each a masterpiece. now I hear their talking to him about directing a Justice League movie.
I had goosebumps when they were all on the plane😬
Thanks for watching my moving am glad beautiful friend nice meeting you here.
-->Rebellious: that didn't happen in reality, just fabricated for the movie.
Just finished watching this movie, WOOWW. I've never heard of this story before, incredible
You are aware that this actually happened back in the late 70s/early 80s right?
GeekMaladroit, uh clearly, that’s what this movie is based on.. Are you aware that this movie is made accurately to the 70s?
God dude can I come too a comment section of these types of movies without people calling america blind sided and what not? Its a movie! This really happened! And its a good story of getting people back home.People cant blame america for making a movie of something that actually happened and people enjoy...
Saw this on Netflix and looooooooved it!!!! Nicely done 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
it was a huge part of the movie. They gave a big thank you to Canada towards the end.
I saw this movie and loved it. It was such a great movie.
+Marion Johnson Great story. Sadly, the real Canadian Ambassador, Ken Taylor, who facilitated the hostages' escape, died on 10/15/15. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_D._Taylor
Why don't they make a movie on when Americans bombed an Iranian passengers killing 66 children and given the admiral a Medal of Honor for killing incident people.
sajeer koormath why don't we people come together and imagine all the people, living world in peace n forget all the horrible tragedy in the past
sajeer koormath
Hostage crisis was part of CIA's plan after Islamic revolution to exchange the Shah with hostages and let him be killed by hand of his own peoples and of course freezing billions of dollars of Iran in the American and world wide banks.. seizing the Pan American airline, many NY towers, Banks in the U.S and many other investment in the U.S by Iran..
Marion Johnson saw this the other day good movie
awesome.. awesome.. awesome.. i encouraged Ben Affleck and making my own movie as actor director and production in India
