If you think there are no ethical uses of AI in music…
Or if you find yourself judging the quality of the output of the recent AI generators with expectations of perfection…
Then this video is for you!
We’ll create a song in Udio and then use the tools in Kits to:
    Separate the vocals
Convert the vocals to create a new lead singer.
Convert more vocals, including from a model I created with my voice, to create backup singers.
Then we’ll put it all together in a simple multi-track audio project to add a new take to the original, and clean up some vocal artifacts!
Tons of fun here, so enjoy!

    📔 ABOUT BOB DOYLE
We live in a freaking crazy time, don’t we?
Artificial Intelligence has exploded into the mainstream, and reactions are varied, to say the least. But for me? I’m all on board! As a creative, today’s technology allows me to take the skillsets I’ve acquired over a lifetime and use them like never before. Instead of feeling threatened by how rapidly seems to be taking of people’s jobs, I see the technology as a way to foster creativity in far more people than are currently tapping into their creative potential. I believe we are here as humans to create. And for me, it’s not an option. If I’m not creating something, I’m dying inside. So Bob Doyle Media is a showcase of my various outlets of creativity, and you’ll see that AI plays a big role in it. From virtual photoshoots and art and animation creation, all the way to voice cloning and face replacement… I play with all of it, and this is where I share it. If you’d like to work together, please reach out. I’d love to connect and talk about how I can contribute to your project.

@Bob Doyle Media, as an artist involved in painting, video, and various audio projects, I've observed a consistent pattern across all these mediums with AI. When AI wasn't fully competent it left more room for human creativity to flourish allowing us to fill in the gaps and produce truly wonderful works.

It’s still not fully competent. It’s just more fully competent. Udio requires some work to make a good track, as it doesn’t generate a track all at once and the best lyrics from start to finish requires custom lyrics, or at least a lot of work choosing the right extentions

You take a pretty solid approach to AI! And I agree with you about much of what you said regarding musicians not going anywhere and AI being soon worthy of charting music. There is definite potential there and it's growing and very incorporable and becoming more malleable. A lot of what people are talking about sounding like garbage though is specific generations or bad writing not necessarily the AI not being anywhere near ready yet. I have several opinions I'll likely put a video together for but for reference there are several pieces I've done on my page using different elements featuring AI. A few covers showing potential and for fun and a lot of clearly unique pieces. I also use tools like FL Studio and Band-in-a-box, etc. in work. So, AI alone has some work to do, and I hope they continue trying to keep everything ethical. We need to honor art and musicians. But we can't stifle creativity by being too restrictive. I look forward to seeing the future of this whole evolution of AI entering the world. Keeping hopeful and trying to use my interactions for good. If we don't use technology though to its fullest, we're going to fall behind. History has been a great teacher on that.

I firmly believe the new AI Music Tools are a great opportunity for studio (or want to be) musicians. The novice, the untrained, etc. are looking for both voices and instrumentals which meet their needs. In addition to studio musicians, real, yet to be acknowledged sound engineers are also looking for content to work with. So the bottom line is that AI needs data to work with from every genre, style and instrument. An industry which right now is small could, and will, grow into something much larger. THAT MEANS JOBS!

It will be nice if one can write a song in sheet music, upload it to a websight, and the AI just produces the songs with the specified instruments, mixes the instruments and masters the song, then boom, ready for publishing.
Or it will be nice if one records a song using one or mroe instruments, uploads to an AI host, and then the AI just adds more instruments missing in the track as the user specifies like session musicians do amongst each other.
Of course the AI has to get so many stuff right such as the dynamics, but it doesn't seem too far or rather already there having listened to a few number of AI generated songs.

    • @BobDoyleMedia
      @BobDoyleMedia  18 днів тому

I agree that both of these would be cool, and I'm QUITE sure are going to happen, if these solutions aren't already around. I think you’re probably right that a lot of this will change. This is why I actually focus on the process of creation after this initial generation. Switching out voices completely. And maybe even changing the lyrics and instrumentation, simply using this generation from AI as an initial creative inspiration.

Plus now with so many things being able to be done with AI it wouldn't cost a fortune to make everything happen like it normally would.
