39. Lithium Battery Management & Monitoring Install

  • Now the lithium batteries are fully charged, it's time to connect them to the rest of the narrowboat system. They are wired into the Victron VE.Bus Battery Management System (BMS) using the 3-pin wires from the batteries. The power cables are connected to Victron Lynx Power In Bus Bars. This keeps things neat and protects the terminals from things in the cupboard. Finally, in this episode, I wire in my Victron BMV 712 Smart BlueTooth battery monitor.
    CORRECTION
    I should have said I spoke to Mark whilst I was on the Coventry Canal. Also, the network cable from the BMS is a standard RJ45 cable and not a JR45!
