I get what Illy means about sharing birthdays, I've always shared mine with my grandpa and it was the BEST. One party, two cakes, all the fun and delight. Now it's bittersweet since he died, but I'll always think of it as OUR birthday.
I shar with my mom
One time, my extended family got a cake to celebrate a few birthdays that were close to each other at once. One of them was my stepmom Christina on March 20th, and another was my uncle Duane on April 29th. On the cake their names were written as "Christine" and "Diane". I found it funny because my stepmom's was a silly typo, but my uncle's changed his gender. I sent a picture to my mom (my parents had been divorced for over a decade at that point) and dared her to find the errors to which she replied "How should I know how anyone in your family spells their name?". Which, sounds fair, but at the same time, the errors seem like they should be obvious based on how the names are pronounced and my uncle's gender.

My sister and her bestie were born hours apart, in the same hospital, and NEXT to each other in hospital cubicles. Their parents met when they were born but never saw each other again. Then, around 15 years later they met at the same school and became instant best friends. They are still friends today

As the younger twin I can confirm the older one never shuts up about being older
I found my birthday buddy at school. He’s 11 hrs 6 mins older, he was born about mid day and I was born in the middle of the night. It was recently discovered that we were born at the same hospital. I can agree with Illy that, in this way, it’s cool to share a birthday with someone.

@@aliciab.b.1837 It has its ups and downs, for sure. They're more annoying than regular siblings, but you're also a lot closer than regular siblings. Half the time you want to slap them and the other half of the time, you have no idea what you'd do without them. That's my experience, at least.
