How cool that your brother joined you this week! My thoughts go out to you both for the losses you’ve endured. Thank you for sharing your hearts ❤

I too lost my mom, dad, 3 brothers, but the loss of a child is the worst. I give u so much credit helping others with their grief by sharing yours. Losing a child is not the normal course of life. A mother’s bond begins before birth, no matter how old a child may be when they die, you remember each step of their development and mourn the loss looking
back at each stage. You are right by stating your relationship with the love one that passed, can compound the level of anguish we can feel. Unfortunately there is no way out , but through. Going through it “ sucks” and right now I feel as if I’ll never be whole. Listening to others who share in grief helps. I don’t know if you have experienced the alienation of friends and family as I have. I feel like I’m leper and others just stay away, either because of fear it may happen to them, or just not knowing what to say.

You are so right on with all of your thoughts. ❤️ I don't know if I've experienced "alienation," per se, but there were definitely people who let me down and people with whom I naturally drifted apart.

Same thing to me my wife had open heart surgery everything was good then two days later she was gone. My life will never ever be the same. Hurts so bad.

Great episode today Quinn is precious, so open and honest, had me in tears 😢. I finally got your book, read it and loved it. I was the first Canadian to write a review on Amazon. I hope it helps! Thank you for the book I know it’s going to help so many people!

I can totally understand this ... those kinds of problems tend to lead to a lot of guilty feelings, but remember the guilt is only hurting YOU, so be kind to yourself. ❤️

😢ohhh...I really enjoyed this video. Your brother seems like such a genuine soul..I wish he and his wife all the success with their business.. (and why not sell his sister's book there..?) Anyway...I appreciate the men you have on and their willingness to be vulnerable and real about what grief has been like for them....my question today is about your mom....I'm curious how she responded and or dealt with the passing of your dad?...since you talk about how she refused contact with him even at the expense of you guys....and just a fyi...I would chime in live but I work the weekends. ❤🙏

No worries on chiming in live -- I totally understand! I appreciate all your comments no matter when they are! As for my mom... she was really upset by my dad's death. My mom reacted the way she did to losing my dad because she loved him. She loved him her whole life. I think she was secretly hoping he was going to come back to his senses and return to her. She actually said that after he died. She also asked to have her ashes scattered in the same place as his. It's quite depressing, actually.

I'm so sorry that the report was worded wrong. There's no comparison to your experience, however, I was terrified when my blood work was off and the nurse told me if it doesn't improve I need to see an oncologist. They failed to mention that they're basically the same thing as a hematologist. The way things are worded matters. I totally understand how inaccurate words trigger trauma.

And I know you HATE tea...lol...but did you ever try lemon ginger? That's my favorite...hot or cold...and while I'm sure your making 🤮 faces...I just thought I'd ask in case that's the one you didn't try!?. And I guess your dislike includes all turkey hill tea as well....which I don't like either. Lmao I'm done now😂

I haven't!! I'll try anything once, though. I can drink Turkey Hill tea, but I don't like it. It's SOOOOO full of sugar, haha. David used to drink that stuff by the gallon.

This show is so awesome!! I love how real and raw you all are. I understand even more about your losses now. This is so needed in the grief support field. Family dynamics are so complicated. It sounds like your Dad struggled with some narcissistic tendencies. I'm so glad you both have the common dream of you writing the book and your Dad IS proud. He sees everything.🩷

Thank you Allie!! Oh, my dad was the definition of a narcissist. Loved him to death, but yeah. Still working through some of that trauma, haha.
