This is a guide on how to tank in The Elder Scrolls Online. In particular, on a warden tank for PVE content. This warden tank build is set up to help out beginner players, or people who want to learn how to tank. The Paladin of Kyne has several crowd control abilities, buffs to apply to group members as well as on the build, and still being very survivable in fights. I go into detail on the stats, skills to use, passives I have, gear I use or options to run, and Champion points. As for skill on my bar i forgot to mention that you do not need to have it set up the way I have it. from my taunt being on the right bumper. if it is more comfortable to have it placed some where else on the bar, then by all means put it there. I havnt played this game in almost 3 years. Thought I would come back but found my Bleed-stacking templar was kinda crap because APPARENTLY being able to kill a lot of the boss in seconds is op. I have some friends joining me who are new to the game and I may as well be in the same boat as them so i wanted to build a tank because I remember the pain of being a dps and not having one. Is Warden still the go? Or should I do one of the other classes?
The Warden class is still considered one of the top tank classes in eso. In my opinion they can give the group really good buffs compaired to the superior Dk class. If you want the rank of class most people go by here is the list. From easiest to hardest to play its DK, Warden, or Necro, Nightblade, Sorcerer, and Templar. Personally for me Templar was my first class and I got really good at it. By knowing everything that the class had to offer. That when converted from a Healer to a Tank. It was way easier then when I built my first Dk tank. I would say in my opinion Tank with any class you feel comfortable in playing.

For a bleed build. I would personally go with the necromancer class. Cause they have a passive that increase damage over time effects by 15%. For sets I would recommend deadly strikes is a very hot set in eso right now. The other set in would combine with it would be blood drinker cause that will increase the damage over time by 33% or I would go with pillar of nirn. so you have a set that has a big damage bonus of dealing at least 23k of bleed over 10 seconds. For monster set you can do Velidreth for disease damage that does pack a punch. There is Slimecraw for base damage increase and having minor berserk at all times. Then Balorgh for more penetration and weapon damage when using an ultimate and base critical.
Any advice on combinations or rotations for this build?
This is what I tend to do. Before the fight figure out who is the most dangerous target for the group. This will take some practice. When you find him you want to make sure that will be the person you taunt first. Then I put on buffs green Betty, expansive frost cloak. Turn to the group and out enchanted growth to increase everyone recovery rate. Then I run up to the biggest group of adds and drop turn evil this will stun all the smaller adds for 5 seconds. During that time I will taunt the bigger adds who are not feared. If there are none of them or you have them taunted Then I begin to pull all the adds I can in before my fear is over. When the fear is over/before I use gripping shards to hold as much if the adds in place to help DPS focus one spot. After that I use low slash to apply minor main to reduce there damage done. Typically on tanks there are not a rotation on them. You kinda react to things happening around you and give the group what they need. But I hope the top portion help you out.

Yup I will be updating all my builds. Currently working on Templar tank since that one did not get an update last patch due to things being the same.
Ebony, lol staple for beginner tanks
Ebony, LOL Staple for Vet Trail Tank out there. Everyone runs Ebony and Alkosh in some shape or form. Which if you dont like the build that's ok, I am already changing the build for next patch to something for better support and still easy to play. Now did you hear the reason why to run the Ebony on a Warden tank? If not, I would recommend listening to the whole video.
Just stating its a stereotypical build, no imagination. Its all plain, maybe try to break out of the basic tank sets and experiment a little.
Ok, what do you consider not basic tank sets?
