Having the same issue on my wife's '18 Alltrack. I removed the motor from the housing, turned fan to max and within 30 seconds it just stopped turning. Time for a new one. :( Thanks for taking the time to document the removal and installation.

What is the slight ticking noise at around 1:25? I have this random ticking in my car but no idea where its coming from. Only thing i know is it stops when i turn the hvac off
Was the blower blowing full then partial then full
19 Tiguan, fan rotates when testing, put it up into the hole, turn on AC, u can hear it getting power but doesn’t turn, no air flow. I don’t see or feel any blockages in there, what can it be?
Maybe there's some of the plastic or foam insulation blocking it? I don't know what it looks like on the Tiguan. Maybe also check the filter to see if it contacts the fan
I have a casing on mine
in my case, the heater just stopped working in the cold. now i put it to on and nothing happens. how am i able to know if it's just the resistor part or if i need a new fan motor? should i just buy the resistor first and see what happens?
Buy both together on eBay not that expensive.
