    I have owned my yeti for nearly 4 years, it is as good now as the day I got it. Heat retention is very good but I drink fast and hard so don't really give it a chance to cool down much. The sliding magnetic tab is brilliant for easy removal and cleaning. Confident it will last another 4 years.

    Those Contigo (and most mugs, to be fair) with colour layers disintegrate in the dishwasher pretty quickly. Is always best to go for the aluminium without the painting. To be fair, if you get a colour one that begins to lose the layer, you can take it all off with a strong sponge and you'll basically get the aluminium version after you are done.

      Contigo (and I'd imagine most of these) are not dishwasher safe.

    • @ionzubia7037
      @ionzubia7037 2 роки тому

      @@CoopMauKona I had a dishwasher-safe one from amazing that lost the colour. I think the YETI's are the only ones to hold a wash from what I've read (but haven't tested it myself)
      At any rate, I think most will lose it just from hand washing alone overtime.

    I wouldn't recommend the Contigo autoseal for people who like to add fat or milk with their coffee. You can't deep clean the lid, because of the mechanical parts. I couldn't wash off the spoiled milk smell after a year of use....sorry that's gross.

    If you want a 'coffee' travel flask, you need one that allows the aroma out too when open. Otherwise you could be drinking any hot drink if you can't smell it. I have the Contigo, and whilst excellent I don't like it for coffee. Looking at Aladdin which allows the coffee to exit via an open spout first, so letting the smell out too.

      @vsupe 2 роки тому +3

      @@helenalovelock1030 yes, for a flask that's not to big. Its neat, not too fat, keeps the drink hot amazingly (too hot), nice lip, nice lid opening button, easy to take apart and clean and has a fantastic seal. Nothing I would change for what it is.
      A traditional flask gives a better 'drinking' experience being nearer to a cup to get the full aroma, but these are bigger and cumbersome.
      I did get, what I think was a returned flask, which was the wrong colour and rattled (the inner chamber was touching the outer, this would transfer the heat). This was from Amazon by Amazon US.
      I'd buy another if I lost this one.

      The Yeti travel mugs are attractive, and the mag slider lid is pretty slick (even though they leak, a lot) but they are not very good at keeping hot beverage hot. My Yeti ramblers can barely keep coffee hot for six hours before it is very cold. By comparison, a Thermos King will keep coffee hot for at least eight hours.

      @patchacuti7338 Рік тому

      @@TheBluceRee It's honestly just a personal preference, whatever works best for you is amazing. I don't like yeti lids because they can spill and they, by design, let heat out. But if you want an insulated mug that has a lid you can sip on, that design is pretty good. I'm a much bigger fan of screw on lids. I don't really drink coffee anymore, as a result a larger container for water is preferable to me.

    If your Hydro Flask Flex Sip Lid is leaking, it’s not assembled correctly. Most often it’s bc the red seal is upside down. Why on earth that matters is beyond me but it does.

      One thing I don't like about the Zojirushi is the cap have lots of rubber and crevices making it harder to clean than other travel mugs. If you have tendency to leave your coffee inside without cleaning for 2+ days, it will become moldy and leave a smell that's hard to remove. So if you do get this, I recommend cleaning it at the end of day.
